Admission Into Certain Majors
You may need to meet additional majorspecific requirements to be admitted directly into a college and major. These programs are identified with a Δ symbol in the Areas of Study section. If you meet the general admission requirements but not the stated major requirements, you will be admitted into University College in a focused studies pathway based on the academic studies program you selected when you applied. You will then be able to work toward meeting the prerequisites needed to declare your major.

Honors College Invitation
You are automatically considered for Honors College eligibility based on your admission application to UT San Antonio. You must receive an invitation and submit acceptance to officially join. As an Honors College student, you can come from any major and enjoy many benefits, including priority registration, additional scholarship opportunities and an experiential curriculum. To be considered for an Honors invitation, you must meet Distinguished Transfer Scholarship criteria or go through an individual review until the class is full.

Admission Deadlines
All required documents, transcripts, fees and optional test scores must be received by the deadline listed below to be considered for admission. Decisions are released on a rolling basis. Some financial aid programs require you to apply and/or be admitted, so be mindful of aid-related deadlines!

Credit Card: If you did not pay your fee when you submitted your application, you'll be able to pay it once we receive your application and you gain access to your myUTSA Admissions portal.
3 Request & Submit Transcripts
You must request transcripts from each college you attended. These should match the colleges you listed on your admission application. Please note each institution has its own transcript request process. Sealed, official transcripts can be mailed to UT San Antonio or sent electronically. Emails with transcripts you send directly will not be accepted. Visit future.utsa.edu/trn for more information.
4 Send Test Scores
SAT/ACT: For transfer students who need to meet freshman requirements, UT San Antonio's ACT Code is 4239 and SAT Code is 6919. SAT or ACT scores are optional, but your scores will be considered if you submit them.
ELP: As an international student, you must submit your English Language Proficiency scores directly from the testing agency. Testing agency codes can be found at future.utsa.edu/international.
5 Submit Additional Documents
All documentation must be received by the admission deadline date (not postmarked).
myUTSA Admissions Portal: Once we receive your application and you get access to your myUTSA Admissions portal, you'll see a checklist of remaining items, documents or forms required to complete your admissions file.
Essay & Recommendation Letters: These items do not appear on your admission checklist because they are recommended; however, if you're undergoing a holistic review, we encourage you to submit an essay and two letters of recommendation.
6 Check Your Admission Status
You'll get an email to claim your myUTSA ID, which you will use to log into our myUTSA Admissions portal at my.future.utsa.edu. Once logged in, click your application to find your status and admission checklist. Be sure to check your email often for updates!

Scholarship Hub's General Application
UT San Antonio offers several scholarship opportunities through our Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships to help you cover the cost of education.
To access this scholarship application, you must first submit an admission application to us. Then, when you get your myUTSA ID, log into our Scholarship Hub and submit the Scholarship Hub’s General Application by January 15.
To be considered for scholarships, you must also have a completed admission application file, transcripts, fees, etc., by January 15.

Tuition-Free Bold Promise
Our Bold Promise is an opportunity for fall transfers to receive a high-quality, affordable education by having 100% of tuition and mandatory fees covered for two academic years (four consecutive fall/spring semesters) if eligible.

Distinguished Transfer Scholarship
If you apply and display exceptional scholastic achievement, you will automatically be considered for this competitive, merit scholarship valued at up to $6,000 for up to two years if renewal eligibility is maintained. If you are a nonTexas resident or international student awarded this scholarship, you will be granted a waiver and pay in-state tuition as long as you maintain scholarship eligibility. PTK Scholarship
If you are an incoming transfer who is a member of Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) and have a 3.0 GPA or better, you can apply for this scholarship of $1,000 ($500 per semester). This scholarship is renewable if eligibility is maintained. Apply via the Scholarship Hub.

Apply for Scholarships
Scholarship Hub: Once you get your myUTSA ID, log in to the Scholarship Hub to complete the Hub's General Application and any other UT San Antonio scholarships available on the Hub
Outside Scholarship: If you are the recipient of any type of award to fund your education from a source other than UT San Antonio, you must report it to the Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships as soon as possible by submitting an Outside Scholarship Notification Form on onestop.utsa.edu/forms
2 Submit FAFSA
To receive financial aid, you must submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on studentaid.gov Our FAFSA Code is 010115.
File your FAFSA by our priority deadline of May 1 for fall or Nov 1 for spring. These dates may be modified if there are any changes within the U.S. Department of Education or the State of Texas.
Students who are not eligible for federal aid may still qualify for state aid in Texas. For more information, visit onestop.utsa.edu/tasfa
3 Get Admitted to UT San Antonio
You must first be admitted to UT San Antonio in order to have a Financial Aid offer generated. The timing of when offers are sent out varies.
4 Set up Duo and Check Status
We are committed to protecting our student data. You must have two-factor authentication set up through Duo in order to see financial aid information on your myUTSA Account. Set up Duo at onestop.utsa.edu/duo.
5 Review & Accept Your Offer
Once you receive a Financial Aid offer, you must either decline or accept it. You can check your financial aid status via your Financial Aid Portal located within your myUTSA account. Financial Aid begins to disburse, or pay out, 10 days prior to the first day of class.
