AN ISLAND THAT MOVES US Mallorca has a special way of staying with those who explore it. Its mountains, trails, villages, and the Mediterranean are all part of an identity shaped over generations. At the heart of this landscape lies the Serra de Tramuntana, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the undisputed protagonist of Mallorca by UTMB®. Running through it is a privilege. And also, a responsibility. That is why Mallorca by UTMB® wants to be part of the island with respect, building connections with the people who live here and supporting initiatives that help preserve its heritage, environment, and community. RUNNING WITH THE LAND Our partnership with the Sóller Agricultural Cooperative reflects our commitment to the land and to the people who work to keep it alive. Founded in 1899 and made up of more than 400 members, the Cooperative is part of the agricultural history of the Sóller Valley. Once again this year, its products will be available at the Mallorca by UTMB® aid stations, bringing local produce to runners while strengthening our commitment to local sourcing and the local economy.

MALLORCA BY UTMB®

CARING FOR OUR SURROUNDINGS The Serra de Tramuntana is much more than the setting for a sporting event. It is a natural heritage that deserves to be protected.

6

Through UTMB® Cares, we support initiatives aimed at preserving the environment, protecting biodiversity, and contributing to the conservation of the natural heritage of the Balearic Islands. Because running through a territory also means taking responsibility for caring for it.

EVERY ACHIEVEMENT COUNTS Inclusion is also part of the way we understand the event. The official Mallorca by UTMB® trophies are once again being made by Estel Nou, an association that works to improve the quality of life of people with disabilities and their families in Sóller and other parts of the Balearic Islands. In this way, each trophy represents not only a sporting achievement, but also the work and commitment of a community. RUNNING WITH PURPOSE Sport is a powerful tool capable of creating a positive impact beyond competition. The Charity Bibs, promoted through UTMB® Cares, allow runners to contribute to this purpose and support initiatives working for people, communities, and the environment. This year, the funds raised will support 1 KM DE VIDA, an initiative by the Unoentrecienmil Foundation that promotes research into childhood leukemia; as well as restoration work at the Jardí Naturalista de la Flora Balear Germà Macià, run by the Santuari de Lluc Foundation, a space dedicated to preserving the biodiversity of the Balearic Islands that was affected by Storm Juliette in 2023. Two projects, one shared purpose: to ensure that sport can also transform the world around it. Because Mallorca by UTMB® doesn’t just run through a territory. It is part of it. Every trail we cross has a story. And every step can help keep that story alive.

WELCOME TO MALLORCA BY UTMB®

Perquè Mallorca by UTMB® no només recorre un territori. Forma part d’ell. Cada sender que travessem té una història. I cada passa pot contribuir a fer que continuï viva.

R U N N E R ’S COMITTMENT IF YOU TAKE PART IN MALLORCA BY UTMB®, YOU COMMIT TO... Taking part in this unique adventure in the heart of the Serra of Tramuntana involves much more than running. It is a commitment to yourself, to others, and to the environment that welcomes us. For this reason, by taking part in Mallorca by UTMB® you commit yourself to: • BE AWARE OF THE CHALLENGE THAT THIS RACE REPRESENTS. You are prepared to face a demanding event in the high mountains and you have previously acquired the necessary autonomy to manage the challenges involved: * Tackle extreme weather conditions (night, wind, cold, rain, snow or fog) on your own. * Manage, even alone, physical or mental fatigue, muscular discomfort, digestive problems or minor injuries. * Be aware that safety depends, to a large extent, on your ability to adapt to adverse situations, foreseen or unforeseen. • RESPECT THE ENVIRONMENT AND EVERYONE INVOLVED. We want you to live an unforgettable experience and contribute to everyone enjoying it as much as you do: * Come with the desire to enjoy yourself, even if it rains, snows or the wind blows! And above all, don’t forget to smile! * Show respect to all those who make the race possible: volunteers, organisation, medical services and collaborators. * Take care of the trails, the flora, the fauna... This natural environment is an essential part of the experience. * Always follow the instructions of the staff and post leaders: they are there to help you and ensure your safety. * Show solidarity with other runners and offer help if someone needs it. In the mountains, we are all a team. * Take all your waste with you. The only thing you can leave behind are footprints... and good memories. • ENJOY THE JOURNEY. Every landscape and every emotion are part of an experience that you will remember forever. You are the protagonist of this story!

HOW TO GET THERE Mallorca is the largest of the Balearic Islands, an archipelago located in the westernmost Mediterranean. The most comfortable way to travel to the island is by air, since Palma’s international airport offers great connectivity with other Spanish or European cities. But there are many more options:

IF YOU TRAVEL BY BOAT Mallorca has two ports intended for passenger traffic, the port of Palma, the main port of the island, and the port of Alcúdia. Three companies currently connect Mallorca with other Spanish ports (Barcelona, Valencia and Denia), in addition to linking with the rest of the Balearic Islands (Menorca, Ibiza and Formentera). It is also possible to reach our island by sea from France (Toulon). PORT OF ALCÚDIA The Port of Alcúdia is located on the north coast of Mallorca, in the bay of the same name. It is a very popular summer resort for the Mallorcan population and one of the busiest tourist areas.

IF YOU TRAVEL BY PLANE The most comfortable and fastest way to get to the island is by plane, since Palma de Mallorca Airport (PMI), also known as Son Sant Joan International Airport, is the third largest airport in Spain and is one of the airports with the greatest air connectivity in the Mediterranean. Destinations and airlines HERE. More than 70 airlines operate at the airport. The main European capitals are less than 3 hours away by flight, Madrid is 1 hour away, and Barcelona is approximately 30 minutes away.

PALMA PORT Palma is connected to Barcelona, Valencia and Denia. The journey to the Peninsula lasts between six and eight hours, depending on the destination and type of boat.

GETTING AROUND MALLORCA You have several options for getting around Mallorca! Public transport (bus or train) or private transport (vehicle rental).

IF YOU TRAVEL BY BUS Getting around Mallorca by bus is an option, but only to connect important cities. Mallorca has a public transport network managed by Transport of the Balearic Islands (TIP), which links Palma with the main population centers of the entire island. Check schedules and rates HERE. On race days, the organisation will provide bus transportation to those runners staying in different areas of the island.

IF YOU TRAVEL BY TRAIN The island has three major train lines and all of them depart from the Palma de Mallorca Intermodal station, which is located in Plaza de España. • T1 is the line that ends in Inca Estació and runs through a good part of northern Mallorca. • The T2 reaches Sa Pobla, one of the most important towns in the east of Mallorca. • T3 heads towards Manacor, a town that serves to explore the south of Mallorca. Mallorca train schedules HERE.

MOBILITY Sustainable Transport Plan

TRANSPORT TO AND FROM THE START AND RETURN FOR RUNNERS Use public transport to save the environment! Mallorca by UTMB® has set up a transport plan which offers a collective solution for the travel of runners to the START and return to their place of origin. Tickets must be purchased on the registration platform through your runner area. Tickets are for runners only, not for supporters. Prices vary according to the stripe (information at the time of registration). You can buy a return ticket or a oneway ticket. They are separate tickets. The tickets you purchase will be indicated on your bib number, so when you board the bus, your bib number will be checked. No tickets will be sold during the event or in the Ultra-Trail Village Prices include VAT and Compulsory Travel Insurance. The transport is operated by a specialised company. At the SDT and CPS starts in Estellencs, there will be no designated parking areas or public parking, so it is NOT POSSIBLE to arrive by private vehicle. In Selva (ETM) and Valldemossa (CDA), public parking is very limited, so we cannot guarantee available spaces for private cars.

MOBILITY

Runners must book their bus seat PRIOR to the race, on their registration page.

20

In Mallorca by UTMB® we are committed to minimising our impact on the environment, and for this reason we have implemented a transport plan which promotes sustainability and respect for the natural environment. With this initiative, we seek to significantly reduce the number of vehicles circulating around the island during the event, minimising the inconvenience to the local population and reducing the ecological impact.

MORE MOUNTAINS, MORE LIFE From Mallorca by UTMB® we want to propose a series of good practices so that our dream, your dream, remains a reality.

Thank you for your collaboration! THE MOUNTAIN HAS ITS LAW Have fun while practicing sports, but always respect the regulations of the area. Try to follow the routes marked in advance, and avoid shortcuts that cause unnecessary erosion of the terrain. The Serra de Tramuntana is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a protected natural area, so you must comply with a series of rules to travel through it. Learn more about the Serra de Tramontana HERE. EVERY DROP COUNTS Don’t waste water. Buy only what you need and avoid single-use plastics and disposable materials. REUSE YOUR DROP BAG If you have already participated in a race of UTMB® World Series and you keep your life bag, give it a second chance and reuse it in. Be sustainable. SEPARATE GIVES LIFE Deposit waste in the authorized selective collection containers. Outside of the aid stations, carry them with you in your backpack to the nearest trash can. HYGIENE IN NATURE Do not pollute fountains and streams with your biological waste. Make sure your feces are well covered and away from trails and water areas. Use as little toilet paper as possible to reduce waste, and remember to take it with you and deposit it in the designated containers. In the envelope along with your bib number you will find a bag for this purpose, but it doesn’t hurt to carry another one.

YOU LOOK, BUT YOU DON’T TOUCH While you run or walk, do not disturb the fauna and flora, especially in the mountains. THE BEST SOUND IS THAT OF NATURE Noise pollution can bother both people and native species. Avoid unnecessary noise and commotion so as not to disturb, especially in mountain areas. PURE MOUNTAIN AIR Avoid unnecessary CO2 emissions. Use public transportation when traveling within the island, if possible. If you need to use your vehicle, park it in the parking spaces provided for this purpose. THE MOUNTAIN IN OFF When you are not driving, always turn off the engines. WE TAKE CARE OF PEOPLE Help boost rural economies by using local services and consuming local products. BE AWARE OF WHERE YOU GO When passing through a barrier or gate, always leave it closed. And remember, if you pass through private lands, do not pick fruits from the trees without authorization from the owner. MY HOUSE IS YOURS Take care of the natural environment and leave it as it would be if you had not passed through there.

REMINDERS REMEMBER! You must have contracted accident insurance that you must upload on your registration page, or purchase the one offered by the race organisation on the registration platform. The bib will not be given to those runners without accident insurance loaded on the registration platform. It is the rider’s responsibility to have adequate insurance. The organisation will only verify that the runner has insurance and it is current. REMEMBER! Book your appointment to pick up your SDT, CPS, ETM, and CDA bib on your registration page if you have not already done so. REMEMBER! Reserve your spot on the shuttle to reach the SDT, CPS, ETM, and CDA starts on the registration platform. REMEMBER! It will not be possible to change the runner’s shirt that we will give you along with the bib. REMEMBER! If when you arrive in Spain you have contracted a mobile phone line, remember to communicate your new phone number to the organisation. You can modify it by entering your registration page, or request the change in the bib collection. REMEMBER! Download the free application for tracking and information: LIVETRAIL. REMEMBER! During the race, keep in mind that when passing through a checkpoint you must leave it before the deadline set by the organisation (regardless of the time you arrived).

RELEVANT INFORMATION ACCEPTANCE OF THE REGULATION Participation in the Mallorca by UTMB® races implies the express and unreserved acceptance of the regulations published on the web page mallorca.utmb.world and of any instructions given by the organiser and his team to the participants. It also implies the acceptance of the basic rules of companionship and help between runners and of measures of eco-responsibility.

BIBS PREVIOUS APPOINTMENT FOR THE BIBS To avoid crowds and unnecessary waiting times, a PRIOR APPOINTMENT must be requested to collect bibs. Runners can reserve the time slot that best suits their needs to collect their bib through their registration page. Bibs will not be delivered without having a PRIOR APPOINTMENT. DELIVERY OF BIBS For bib collection, which will take place at the Ultra-Trail ® Village, Moll Pesquer in Sóller, it will be mandatory to present ID, supporting document or PASSPORT. In addition, runners must have uploaded their accident insurance on the registration platform prior to the event, or have purchased the insurance proposed by the organisation.

RELEVANT INFORMATION

NO BIB BIB WILL BE GIVEN TO A RUNNER WITHOUT ACCIDENT INSURANCE.

28

The collection of bibs will be personal. No bib number can be collected by a third person for security reasons. We must verify the veracity of the data in person and each of you will be given the runner’s bracelet that gives access to the race ser-

vices. USE OF THE BIB NUMBER The bib number must be worn on the chest or belly and must be visible permanently and in its entirety throughout the race. It must always be positioned above any garment and, in no case, can it be fixed on the backpack or a leg. The bib number is the necessary pass to access buses, aid stations, infirmaries, storage areas, or bag recovery... Except in the case of refusing to obey the decision of a race official, the bib number is never withdrawn, but in case withdraw is deactivated and checked. IMPORTANT: Safety pins will not be provided. To reduce waste and minimize environmental impact, safety pins will not be distributed during bib collection. Each runner must attach their bib using their own fastening system (bib belt, magnetic clips, elastic cords, etc.). Make sure it is visible at all times during the race. Thank you for your cooperation!

CONTROL Each runner will be given 2 electronic chips (front bib and backpack bib), except in the CDA, and an identification bracelet. Some checkpoints will be automatic and others manual. There will be other surprise checkpoints carried out by the organisation. Runners who are not in possession of their chips and bracelet will be penalised. The use of the chip is very important to be able to control your times. You must place the chip in your race backpack, visibly, with a clip which you will find in the envelope of your bib number.

SPARE BAG For logistical reasons, UTMB® World Series events only accept UTMB® World Series drop bags, which are distributed at the bib delivery. These bags are reusable, so we ask runners who have already received one of these bags to reuse it each time they participate in a UTMB® World Series event.

RECOVERY OF THE BAGS Runners, or their relatives, will be able to collect the bags upon presentation of their bib number. They must be rcollected at the finish line no later than two hours after the close of the race. The organisation ensures the return of the bags of runners who have abandoned, provided that the abandonment has been registered.

SDT: At the time of bib collection, each participant receives 2 bags of 30 liters. After filling them with the clothing and items the runner considers necessary, they will deposit them in a place near the start. One of the bags will be transported by the organization to the ALARÓ aid station, and the other to the LLUC aid station. When the runner arrives at these aid stations, they may collect their bag. Upon leaving the aid station, the runner personally must deposit the bag in the area designated for that purpose. The organization will return the bags to PORT DE SÓLLER.

The return time of the bag will depend on logistical needs. The organisation does not guarantee the return of all bags in Port de Sóller / Pollença before the end of the race.

ETM and CDA: At the time of bib collection, each participant receives 1 bag of 30 liters. After filling it with the clothing and items the runner considers necessary, they will deposit it at the start line. The organization will transport the bag to PORT DE SÓLLER.

It is recommended not to deposit valuable objects. We recommend that you have spare clothes and hygiene products in the arrival areas. If you’ve taken part in a previous edition of Mallorca by UTMB® and still have your drop bag, give it a second life and reuse it for your race. BE SUSTAINABLE.

ARE YOU SPONSORED? Perfect, but you can only show it on the clothing or material used during the race. Any other advertising accessory (flag, banner...) is prohibited at any point along the route, including the finish line.

#MALLORCABYUTMB® | 2 0 2 6

CPS: At the time of bib collection, each participant receives 1 bag of 30 liters. After filling it with the clothing and items the runner considers necessary, they will deposit it at the start line. The bag will be transported by the organization to the ALARÓ aid station. When the runner arrives at the aid station, they may collect their bag. Upon leaving the aid station, the runner personally must deposit the bag in the area designated for that purpose. The organization will transport the bag to PORT DE SÓLLER.

Only the bags provided by the organisation will be transported. Poles cannot be transported in bags. The contents of the bags will not be verified, and no complaints about their contents will be entertained.

AID STATIONS

Help us preserve natural spaces. Don’t throw your waste on the routes! We all share the responsibility of keeping our playing field clean. Don’t forget to bring a bag to transport your waste between two points equipped with trash cans.

All races are carried out on a semi-autonomous basis and, therefore, runners will also have to provide their own reserves. Runners must be able to organize their own survival between two aid stations. For this reason, at the departure of the aid station, only liquids may be provided.

Remember: The Serra de Tramuntana is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a protected natural area, so you must comply with a series of rules to travel through it. Learn more about the Serra de Tramuntana HERE. GLASS AND PLATE In order to avoid the waste of disposable plastic cups, plates and cutlery during the race, everyone must bring their own, with a minimum capacity of 15 cl. Attention! Canteens or containers with lids are not accepted in place of glasses. BYOU “BRING YOUR OWN UTENSILS” The organisation will not distribute any type of disposable tableware (cutlery, glasses, bowls) at the life bases or aid stations. The organisation will not distribute any type of disposable tableware (cutlery, glasses, bowls) at the life bases or aid stations.

30

The organisation will provide liquid and solid provisioning along the routes. The organisation provides mineral water or energy drink to refill the obligatory liquid bags and individual cups. It is the responsibility of the runner to have, when leaving the aid station, the necessary amount of drink and food to reach the next aid station. Only runners wearing a visible race bib on their chest or belly and their wristband will have access to the aid stations. The organisation will only provide water or energy drinks to fill the flasks or hydration bags. Other drinks must only be consumed at the aid stations. There will be 3 types of supplies: AID - Drinks only. AID - Full supply. AID - Hot food supply (SDT - CPS).

MARKING For better night vision, the beacons are equipped with a part made of reflective material that reflects the light from the front. ATTENTION If you don’t see markers, turn back!

COURSE MARKINGS ARE NOT SOUVENIRS.

THEY ARE SAFETY EQUIPMENT.

Every year, once our races are over, we find that dozens of course markers and other signage have DISAPPEARED from the route. We understand that, for some people, they may seem like a nice souvenir from the event, but we would like to remind everyone that course MARKINGS ARE NOT SOUVENIRS. HELP US KEEP ALL PARTICIPANTS SAFE RESPECT THE WORK OF THOSE WHO MAKE THE RACE POSSIBLE AND PROTECT THE NATURAL ENVIRONMENT THAT ALLOWS US TO ENJOY THIS SPORT.

Every ribbon, arrow, sign, and marker, has been carefully placed by our team to guide runners along the course, both day and night. Thanks to this signage, thousands of participants can follow the correct route, avoid navigation mistakes, and enjoy a safer experience in the mountains. Removing a course marker while the race is underway may cause other runners to lose their way, leave the planned route, or face unnecessary risks.

WE ARE ASKING YOU TO MAKE A SMALL GESTURE THAT CAN MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE: • Do not remove any course markers, ribbons or signs while the event is taking place. • If you come across a marker on the course, please leave it where it is. • If you would like to keep a souvenir of the race, use your race bib, your finisher medal, the event photos, or the official merchandise.

THANK YOU FOR BEING PART OF A COMMUNITY THAT RUNS WITH RESPONSIBILITY, RESPECT AND COMMITMENT.

#MALLORCABYUTMB® | 2 0 2 6

Once the race is over, a team of volunteers and professionals goes back over all the trails to remove all signage and leave the mountains exactly as we found them, fulfilling our commitment to the environment and to the local communities that welcome us.

RELEVANT INFORMATION

YOUR COURSE, ALWAYS WITH YOU In a mountain race like Mallorca by UTMB®, following the course does not rely solely on course markings. Carrying the official GPX track on your watch allows you to check your position at any time, make sure you are following the correct route and anticipate upcoming changes in the terrain. Especially during night sections, in low-visibility areas or at trail junctions, having the course on your watch provides greater safety and autonomy. It also gives you a clear reference of the route and helps you avoid unnecessary deviations.

CHAPTER SECTION

Before the race, download the official GPX track, upload it to your device and make sure it is displayed correctly. Don’t wait until you are at the start line to do so: spending a few minutes preparing your route is also part of your race preparation.

COURSE MARKINGS GUIDE YOU. THE GPX HELPS YOU KNOW WHERE YOU ARE.

RELEVANT INFORMATION RESPECT FOR THE RULES AND RACE MARSHALS

Participants are responsible for ensuring that the controller has verified their passage through each checkpoint .

Volunteers are there to help you, but also to ensure respect for the rules. Among them, the race marshals will have precise orders, especially with regard to the immediate application of penalties in real time in case of not respecting the Regulations.

A broom team from the organisation will do the route closing the races. The instructions of the organisation and security personnel must be followed at all times.

Downtime penalties apply during the race. Specifically, this penalty entails a regression in the classification for those who are at the head of the race, and the risk of not passing the time barrier for those who are in further back positions. The race marshals are authorized to control the mandatory material at the start and at various points along the route. The absence of an element of the mandatory safety material implies immediate disqualification. To know the penalties applied you can read the complete Regulations in: mallorca.utmb.world The most important cases will be analyzed in coordination with the career direction.

RELEVANT INFORMATION

TIME BARRIERS AND CONTROLS

34

These time barriers are calculated to allow participants to reach the finish line in the maximum time imposed, making eventual stops (food, rest...). To be authorized to continue the race, participants must leave the checkpoint before the posted cut-off time (regardless of the time of arrival at the checkpoint). Participants will have to pass through the checkpoints that will be clearly visible and that, for the most part, coincide with the aid stations. At each checkpoint there will be staff from the organisation who will verify the passage of the runners.

No runner may leave a checkpoint behind the broom team.

TIMING AND CHECKPOINT CONTROL At the checkpoints marked on the map, runners’ passage will be verified using chip timing, manually by authorized personnel, or automatically by radio frequency. Each participant must make sure to pass the chip, and assists in its control, at all checkpoints established by the organisation. Failure to pass a timing checkpoint will result in the DISQUALIFICATION of the participant. The identification of the runner at the checkpoints depends on the chip control and not on the passing judges. The smartphone is mandatory during the race. The phone have to: • Be turned on and operational. • Have sufficient battery. • Have international service enabled. • Not be in airplane mode. For runners who will spend more than 15 hours racing, it is advisable to carry an external battery.

ASISTENCIA PERSONAL Personal assistance is allowed only at some aid stations. The aid stations where assistance is allowed are: ALARÓ - LLUC Access by private vehicle to most of the aid stations is not allowed. Please consult the Companion Guide HERE.

Key points • Verify that your personal data on the registration platform is correct. You may update it until the start of your race. • Keep your phone on throughout the race. • Enable SMS reception for possible alerts.

COMMUNICATION AND EMERGENCIES The Race Control Center may send alert messages, relevant information, and real-time updates, including course changes or weather warnings. The SOS function of the LiveTrail® app allows sending the runner’s GPS position to the organization, reducing response time.

SUPPORTER credentials are given at bib collection. Runners are free to give them to whomever they choose. Assistance is allowed only with one carry-on bag (maximum 30 liters) to transport necessary items (food, clothing, etc.). Assistance provided by professionals, or any medical or paramedical professional, is strictly prohibited. This measure ensures fairness among runners. It does not prevent family and friends from supporting runners along the course, always following the instructions of the aid station chief. RELEVANT INFORMATION COMPANIONS ON THE COURSE To ensure equality among competitors, unregistered persons are prohibited from accompanying runners on any part or the entirety of the race, except in clearly marked tolerance zones near aid stations. This allows for small family walks at confluence points but prohibits “hares.” Race marshals will be present at several points along the course and may impose real-time penalties for rule violations.

Runners who withdraw at a point without planned transport and whose health does not require evacuation must reach the nearest transport or return point by their own means. In case of adverse weather conditions justifying partial or total race suspension, the organization will ensure the return of runners to the finish as quickly as possible. In the case of injury or accident preventing the runner from moving to the nearest checkpoint, they must immediately inform the Race Control Center (CECOR) or the emergency numbers:

WITHDRAWING FROM THE RACE

Except in cases of injury or accident, a participant may not abandon the race except at an aid station designated for withdrawal.

A L E RT I N C AS E O F EMERGENCY

In the event of withdrawal, the runner must notify the race staff as soon as possible at the nearest aid station or, if not possible, by calling the Race Control Center (CECOR) number listed on the bib.

RELEVANT INFORMATION

The bib will be marked as “withdrawn.” The runner must keep their bib, which is required to access buses and other services.

36

The participant must also inform the aid station how they will return to their place of origin, or if transport is needed to the start point or the nearest public transport point. All runners who withdraw will be evacuated to the finish in Vielha or to a point with public transport service (free for runners). Note that logistics in these cases can be complicated, and the runner may have to wait some time for transport. Please be patient, considering this is high mountain terrain.

TELEPHONE NETWORK AVA I L A B L E

1

CALL THE RACE CONTROL CENTER - CECOR +34 973643651 or to the Emergency number 112

2

INDICATE YOUR POSITION USING : LIVETRAIL® TELEPHONE NETWORK N O T AVA I L A B L E

ALERT A MEMBER OF THE ORGANIZATION OR THE OTHER RUNNERS Before you start, be sure to register the emergency numbers on your mobile phone ! It is recommended to save these numbers in your phone contacts as “aa MLL”.

There are several aid and control points along the course, connected by radio or phone to the Race Control Center (CECOR), where a medical team will be present throughout the race. Aid points are intended to provide assistance if needed, but medical personnel are not responsible for treating minor issues, such as blisters or other small discomforts. It is the responsibility of a runner in difficulty to request help through any of the following means: • Presenting themselves at an aid station or checkpoint. • Calling CECOR directly. • Asking another runner to request help. • Using the SOS function of the LiveTrail® app. Any runner who encounters a person in difficulty must provide assistance and stay with them until the organization arrives. Do not forget that environmental and race-related difficulties may delay help longer than expected. Safety will also depend on the quality of the equipment carried in your backpack

SOLIDARITY AND SAFETY Solidarity among participants is an essential value of the race. In emergencies, collaboration and mutual assistance must take priority over competition.

WEATHER The Mallorca by UTMB® races take place in the middle of nature, in mountainous areas, in isolated areas (far from the main road networks, telecommunications...), with weather that can change very quickly and become adverse.

Instructions to keep in mind during the race: • Don’t stop in high areas. • If you lose the beacons, turn around to look for the last one. • Stay on the roads. Tips for dealing with complicated weather: • Anticipate extreme heat and cold. • Don’t wait until you are shivering to get warm. • Don’t change exposed in the wind: Anticipate or wait until you are under cover. • Protect yourself from the sun.

MANDATORY EQUIPMENT Mallorca is an island of contrasts, so weather conditions can vary considerably along the course. All participants must carry all the mandatory equipment specified. The organization may carry out random checks of the mandatory equipment to access the enclosed start area and at any point along the course, including at the finish. Failure to carry any of the mandatory items will result in immediate disqualification from the race. All clothing must be the correct size for the participant and must not have been modified after leaving the factory. All equipment must be carried in a backpack or similar item, which the runner must identify using the chip provided during bib collection. This identification system may not be changed during the race. All equipment must be properly protected and packed to prevent it from getting wet inside the backpack in case of rain. Participants who choose to carry poles must carry them throughout the entire race. Poles will not be accepted in the drop bags provided by the organization. It is prohibited to start the race without poles and obtain or use them later along the course. The use of poles may be prohibited in certain areas for safety or environmental reasons. In these cases, the prohibition will be clearly indicated by specific signs along the course.

37

RELEVANT INFORMATION Music: Listening to music is only permitted through headphones and provided that doing so is safe. Headphones must be removed when crossing any road, when approaching any checkpoint and while at the checkpoint, as well as when approaching any member of the Safety Team and when overtaking them.

POLES Be careful with the poles, especially in the first part of the race, where the density of runners is particularly high. Do not use the straps during descents since, in the event of a strong fall, the straps prevent proper recovery with the hands (injuries to the shoulders, wrists, forearms..., or head). If poles are used, they must have rubber tips (for all distances and throughout the entire race), in accordance with the environmental regulations of the Paratge Natural de la Serra de Tramuntana. Each runner must carry a spare set of rubber tips, in case the originals are lost or damaged during the race. In the event of heavy rain on the day of the race or the day before, the organisation may prohibit the use of poles, in compliance with the conditions established in the environmental permit.

RELEVANT INFORMATION

FOOD AND HYDRATION

38

Hydration and energy intake should be adapted to weather conditions and enriched with salts throughout the effort. Maintain a good balance between slow and fast sugars.

FATIGUE AND CONCENTRATION At the aid stations there are places provided to rest. We recommend that runners rest at the aid stations set up for this purpose. Every runner must stay on the marked path, even when sleeping. If you need to sleep on the way, it is highly advisable to use the “sleep bib” provided by the organisation (SDT). This number allows you to indicate that you want to get some sleep without being disturbed. It can be dangerous to stop alone in nature to sleep. Tiredness and lack of concentration can be the cause of an accident. Run according to your possibilities in order to reserve energy to overcome a difficult situation, such as a sudden change in weather. Any runner who voluntarily leaves the marked path is no longer under the responsibility of the organisation.

When crossing roads and urban streets, runners do not have priority over vehicles. Traffic regulations must be followed. In races that cross the Port de Sóller Tramway tracks (Av. Sóller), runners must give way to trams at the level crossing..

In order to take the departure, we remind you that every participant must be in possession of individual accident insurance that covers rescue and evacuation expenses in the mountains, in Spanish territory, up to at least 1,500 meters of altitude, as well as probable expenses of hospitalisation The insurance must cover the practice of trail running and participation in long-distance mountain races. The insurance can be subscribed from any organisation, federation, or insurance company of the participant’s choice as long as it meets the REQUIREMENTS INDICATED ABOVE. Verify with your insurance company or federation that your insurance meets the requirements. IT IS THE RUNNER’S RESPONSIBILITY TO HAVE THE APPROPRIATE INSURANCE. THE ORGANISATION WILL ONLY VERIFY THAT THE RUNNER HAS INSURANCE AND IT IS CURRENT. IN THE EVENT OF NOT COMPLYING WITH THE SPECIFICATIONS, IT WILL BE THE RUNNER THEMSELVES WHO WILL HAVE TO DEAL WITH THE MEDICAL AND RESCUE EXPENSES. However, the organisation makes available to runners who do not have insurance that meets the requirements, or wish to expand coverage, the possibility of purchasing one by going to the registration platform. Highly recommended for all runners. The bib will not be given to those runners who have not uploaded their accident insurance on the registration platform or, if they do not have it, who have not taken out the insurance offered by the organisation. Having accident insurance is a requirement to run in Mallorca by UTMB®.

Medical evacuations by helicopter and periods of hospitalisation may be chargeable. The choice of an evacuation depends exclusively on the organisation, which will systematically prioritise the safety of the participants. The choice of the means of evacuation and the place of hospitalisation depends only on the decision of the lifeguards and official doctors. The expenses resulting from the use of exceptional relief or evacuation means will be borne by the person assisted, who must also ensure their return from the place where they will have been evacuated. It is the exclusive task of the runner to present a dossier or open a file to his personal insurer within the corresponding period after evacuation and medical treatment The organisation will take out Civil Liability insurance in the name of each runner (already included in the registration price), according to the regulations of the competent authority in each case.

SHARED MOUNTAINS Trail running races take place in open areas, in the mountains and in villages. These are spaces that we share with other people. As runners, we do not have exclusive use of these paths, so we must respect other users, whether cyclists, walkers, horse riders, or others. We all have the right to enjoy this spectacular natural environment, and we must all respect it and each other. Mallorca by UTMB® takes place thanks to the generosity of numerous private landowners. Access to many of these paths is only authorized during the races. Respect the landowners and do not enter private properties without authorization. Close livestock gates behind you as you pass through. We will provide the GPX files a few days before the race so that you can upload them to your watch. This does not grant any right of access at other times of the year. Roads, streets and tracks open to vehicles remain accessible to traffic. As a runner, you do not have priority and must comply with pedestrian traffic regulations. Road crossings will be clearly marked with signs. Before crossing, make sure that no vehicles are approaching.

7 KILOMETRES TO KEEP A LEGACY ALIVE The Memorial Guillem Sec joins Mallorca by UTMB® as a 7-kilometre charity race along the Mediterranean. A sporting challenge created to remember, share and, above all, add kilometres to the fight against childhood cancer.

SOME SOME RACES RACES ARE ARE MEASURED MEASURED IN IN KILOMETRES, KILOMETRES, ELEVATION ELEVATION GAIN, GAIN, OR OR TIME. TIME. OTHERS OTHERS ARE ARE ABOUT ABOUT SOMETHING SOMETHING MUCH MUCH BIGGER: BIGGER: THE THE REASON REASON THAT THAT BRINGS BRINGS US US TO TO THE THE START START LINE. LINE. The Memorial Guillem Sec belongs to the latter. A 7-kilometre race taking in some of the most iconic corners of Port de Sóller, with the Mediterranean always in sight and the Serra de Tramuntana as its backdrop. But its finish line represents something far beyond sport: supporting the fight against childhood cancer.

7 KILOMETRES TO KEEP A LEGACY ALIVE

The race honours Guiem Coll Bestard, “Sec”, one of the driving forces behind the 1 Km de Vida charity initiative in Sóller. A project born from the desire to turn sport and personal challenges into a way of raising funds for childhood cancer research and supporting children affected by the disease and their families.

78

Guiem passed away after a long battle with cancer, but he left behind a powerful legacy of solidarity in Sóller, Fornalutx, and the surrounding area. A spirit that now continues to travel across the trails of Mallorca through this Memorial.

From Sa Creu Lighthouse to Cap Gros Lighthouse, with the sea by your side The route starts in a privileged setting: Sa Creu Lighthouse, in Port de Sóller. From there, participants will follow the coastline towards Cap Gros Lighthouse, enjoying spectacular views over the harbour, the Mallorcan coastline and the mountains of the Serra de Tramuntana. After reaching the Muleta area, the route heads back towards the finish line, completing a fast and accessible out-and-back course designed to enjoy the surroundings and share a day where sport and solidarity go hand in hand. Because this time, crossing the finish line will mean something different. When a race bib becomes a helping hand The Memorial also aims to turn every entry into a direct contribution. Funds raised through race-bib sales, excluding the 8% corresponding to administrative management costs, together with 100% of voluntary donations, will be donated to Fundación Unoentrecienmil, an organisation dedicated to supporting research to find a cure for childhood cancer. Those who wish to contribute beyond their race entry will also be able to make a charitable donation.

#MALLORCABYUTMB® | 2 0 2 6

7 kilometres to run, remember and contribute. Seven kilometres along the Mediterranean to keep a legacy alive and show that when sport is put in the service of a cause, every kilometre counts.

COMPANION Because you are that essential encouragement to cross the finish line. Because without your help and support, we would not have made it this far. Because your presence is just as important as that of those who have decided to add more kilometres to their running shoes. For all of these reasons, at Mallorca by UTMB® we have prepared this Guide for the Companion. So that you can live this experience and enjoy all the possibilities that this magical island offers you.
