LEARN
WITHOUT LIMITS As a Trailblazer, you’ll get active learning opportunities far beyond the traditional classroom. You will learn through hands-on experience with internship opportunities, Study Abroad, undergraduate research, student teaching, clinicals, Alternative Breaks, and more! You could even work with the same kind of technology used on the sets of The Mandalorian, Westworld, and Star Trek. Our Digital Film Program features a state-ofthe-art LED Volume Wall, the same immersive technology powering some of Hollywood’s biggest productions, right here on campus. Very few universities offer students access to this level of professional-grade filmmaking technology, giving you a genuine edge before you even graduate. Whether you’re transporting viewers to a galaxy far away or recreating Southern Utah’s iconic red rock landscapes in studio, the Volume Wall puts Hollywood-level production power in your hands, long before you ever leave campus.

Tyra tyra
“At Utah Tech, you don’t just learn it – you build it.” From her first year as a student, Tyra was designing, testing and troubleshooting real projects. When her team’s mini golf obstacle nearly failed days before the deadline, she didn’t start over – she improvised, using a simple sewing kit to bring it back to life. That’s engineering here – hands-on, fast-paced and real. You’ll design parts, work with tools, solve unexpected problems, and learn what it actually takes to make something work. It’s not about getting it perfect the first time. It’s about figuring it out. Because you’re not just learning engineering. You’re becoming an engineer.
NEARLY 200 STUDENTS participated in study abroad opportunities

Dallin
Utah Tech University mentors helped UT student Dallin Mattson turn a personal challenge into a life-changing innovation. Born with limited vision, Dallin grew up navigating a world that wasn’t always designed for him. When assigned to solve a real-life problem, he didn’t look far — he created C4U™, a smart baseball cap that helps users detect obstacles through vibration. Inspired by his younger brother, who is legally blind, Dallin wanted to develop something that builds confidence without drawing attention. With support from mentors at Utah Tech’s Atwood Innovation Plaza, his idea evolved into a 360-degree assistive device now moving toward a patent. Dallin’s invention isn’t just a project – it’s a step toward greater independence for people everywhere. Learn more about Atwood Innovation Plaza at innovation.utahtech.edu.
