Greater Zion stadium FIVE YEAR IMPACT REPORT
Five years ago, you invested in more than a stadium. You invested in studentathletes. You invested in Utah Tech University’s Division I future. You invested in a gathering place for our community—and in a vision for what Utah Tech University could become. Today, that vision is alive nearly every day. Since the completion of Greater Zion Stadium, thousands of student-athletes, students, families, fans, and community members have walked through its gates. It has become a home for competition, commencement, concerts, community celebrations, student traditions, and unforgettable moments. This project is especially meaningful to me because I had the privilege of working alongside many of you as we dreamed, planned, and ultimately brought this vision to life. Today, when I walk past the stadium, I am reminded not simply of what we built—but of the people who believed enough to make it possible. Greater Zion Stadium has helped elevate our athletic programs, strengthen the student-athlete experience, bring our community together, and position Utah Tech for an exciting new era of Division I athletics. The building may be made of concrete and steel. Its impact was built by people like you. Thank you for believing in Utah Tech and for creating a legacy that will benefit generations of Trailblazers.

A Gathering Place Beyond athletics, the stadium is a vibrant hub for campus life. It regularly hosts performances by UT cheer and dance teams, as well as a wide range of student events and traditions, such as Homecoming, the Great Race, Powder Puff games, intramural sports, and other campus activities. The stadium also plays an important role in the broader community, drawing enthusiastic crowds for events including Bands of America, Huntsman Senior Games, youth camps, and the popular Fourth of July celebration. Altogether, Greater Zion Stadium stands as a central gathering place for both the university and the surrounding community.

UTAH TECH UNIVERSITY COMMENCEMENT HUNTSMAN SENIOR GAMES BANDS OF AMERICA UTAH HIGH SCHOOL ACTIVITIES ASSOCIATION STATE PLAYOFFS A STADIUM SEEN BY ALL Interstate 15 carries approximately 50,000–70,000 vehicles per day past Greater Zion Stadium—more than 18 million vehicles annually—giving the facility and Utah Tech University extraordinary visibility along one of the region’s most traveled corridors.
MORE THAN A STADIUM Greater Zion Stadium stands as a proud centerpiece of Utah Tech, the Southern Utah community, and the University’s continued growth and ambition.
ELEVATING THE STUDENT-ATHLETE EXPERIENCE The stadium has transformed how our studentathletes train, compete, recover, and represent UT. Modern facilities and upgraded spaces give coaches the tools to recruit and retain top talent.
CREATING A DIVISION I ENVIRONMENT These investments provide the infrastructure necessary for UT’s transition to NCAA Division I athletics and have strengthened the University’s position as it enters the Big Sky Conference.
CREATING AN UNFORGETTABLE FAN EXPERIENCE Premium suites, club and loge seating, upgraded grandstands, and a large videoboard have transformed game day—creating an energetic environment worthy of Division I competition.
BRINGING SOUTHERN UTAH TOGETHER With the ability to host up to 17,000 people for concerts and major events, Greater Zion Stadium became a destination for university traditions, community celebrations, and gatherings.
Elevating the experience In my belief, based on interactions with others throughout the state, Greater Zion Stadium ranks with Tuacahn as the most recognized structures in Washington County. Greater Zion Stadium, the largest seating venue south of Utah County, has become far more than just a competition site for Utah Tech University. Following its renovations, it serves as a distinct landmark along I-15. The stadium has become a true centerpiece for both the University and the surrounding community, elevating the student-athlete experience while also serving as a major gathering place for the region. The upgrades represent a significant leap in quality and opportunity, enabling coaches to recruit and retain high-caliber student-athletes. These enhancements go far beyond aesthetics; they directly support the development, recovery, and performance of Utah Tech’s teams. Advanced training facilities and a modern press box have also played a key role in the University’s transition to NCAA Division I athletics and entrance into the Big Sky Conference. Equally important is the atmosphere the stadium creates. Improvements such as premium seating, suites, and a large videoboard have significantly enhanced the fan experience, creating an energetic and engaging environment for both athletes and spectators. Greater Zion Stadium also plays a vital role in campus life and community engagement. Designed as a multipurpose venue, it hosts far more than football and soccer games. With the capacity to accommodate up to 17,000 people for concerts, conferences, and large-scale events, the stadium regularly serves as a hub for commencements, festivals, and regional gatherings. Thank you for helping provide our community with a place to gather, cheer on the home team, and make memories that will last a lifetime.

Utah Tech University
BIG SKy, Big dreams Utah Tech University’s move to the Big Sky Conference marks a defining milestone in the University’s Division I journey. This achievement reflects years of growth, strategic investment, and the generosity of donors who believed in the vision for Utah Tech Athletics and its student-athletes. The construction of Greater Zion Stadium helped lay the foundation for this historic moment by providing a premier Division I facility that elevated the student-athlete experience and strengthened Utah Tech’s position for conference membership. “We are excited and proud to be members of the Big Sky Conference,” said Executive Director of Athletics Ken Beazer. “The hard work, sacrifices, and successes over our first 20 years of NCAA competition have led us to this great day.” Beazer added, “The Big Sky is a conference that is known nationwide for its stability and athletic prowess. I believe Utah Tech has a lot to offer the Big Sky as it continues to evolve into one of the premier conferences in the country.” As Trailblazer student-athletes compete on a larger stage, Big Sky membership enhances recruitment, expands national visibility, and creates new opportunities for success. Continued investment in scholarships, academic support, facilities, and championship-level experiences will ensure Utah Tech remains competitive for years to come. Thank you to the donors and partners whose belief in our program and our student-athletes made this milestone possible and continues to shape the future of Trailblazer Athletics.

Continue the legacy The true impact of Greater Zion Stadium isn’t measured in square footage, attendance, or events. It’s measured in people. The Sponsor-a-Locker program gave members of the Utah Tech community an opportunity to leave a permanent mark on Trailblazer Football. For a contribution of $1,937, honoring the founding year of the program, supporters could dedicate a locker in honor of a student, friend, family member, or loved one. The response reflected the deep connection between Trailblazer Football and those who believe in its future.

“ I loved my time at Utah Tech. I’m so grateful to my teammates,
coaches, and everyone who supported this project. Those final weeks of my career in the locker room became some of my favorite memories. I wanted to participate in the Sponsora-Locker program to give back to a program that gave me so much and to leave a symbol of something we helped build during my time at Utah Tech.”
The Sponsor-a-Locker program did more than generate support for the stadium. It connected generations of Trailblazers and created a lasting reminder that the future of Utah Tech Football was built by people who believed in the program and the athletes.

Every name inside the Trailblazer locker room represents something more than a donation. It represents belief. A limited number of lockers remain available at the original legacy contribution of $1,937. Your gift supports the Athletic program and gives you an opportunity to name a locker in your honor or in recognition of a friend, family member, or loved one.
“ From the moment I stepped on campus, I could feel there
was something different here. It wasn’t just about facilities it was about vision. The belief that this program could become something special was already in place because of the commitment from donors and the investment in these young men. That’s a big reason I wanted to be here. I knew I could be part of building something meaningful.”
