Executive MBA Intensive Week Logistics The Cliff Lodge at Snowbird Mountain Resort We are excited to welcome you to Executive MBA Intensive Week! Please review the details below before you arrive. A map and directions to The Cliff Lodge are included on the back of this handout.

Arrival and Check-In Please arrive on Monday, August 17 and check in at the Executive MBA registration table in the main lobby at 9 a.m.

You have been assigned a private room for the week. Because registration and class begin before the hotel’s standard check-in time, your room may not be ready when you arrive. If needed, the hotel can store your luggage until your room becomes available.

The Executive MBA Program covers your hotel room, meals, and snacks during scheduled breaks. Please have a credit card available at hotel check-in for any incidental expenses.

Extending Your Stay To extend your stay outside of August 17-21, call Snowbird reservations at 1-800-453-3000 and identify yourself as part of the University of Utah Executive MBA Program. The group rate may be available based on hotel availability.

Daily Schedule and Attire Breakfast will be available each morning from 7:00 to 8:00 a.m. Class begins promptly at 8:00 a.m.

Casual, comfortable attire is appropriate throughout the week. We recommend bringing a sweater or jacket, as classroom temperatures may fluctuate.

Fitness and Pool Access The Cliff Spa fitness room will be available Tuesday-Friday, 6:00-8:00 a.m., and Monday-Thursday, 9:00-11:00 p.m. Access is through the 10th floor door using your room key.

The pool will be available 8:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m. through the spa front desk on the 9th floor. Please bring a swimsuit and exercise clothing if you plan to use these amenities.

Guests and Program Time Intensive Week is an important opportunity to connect with your classmates and begin building relationships for the 21-month program. Because of the intensive schedule and focus on cohort-building, we ask that you not invite family or guests to join you at the resort during the week.

Directions to Snowbird and The Cliff Lodge Snowbird Mountain Resort is approximately 29 miles from downtown Salt Lake City and 29 miles from the Salt Lake City International Airport. Drive times are typically 35 to 40 minutes, depending on traffic and canyon conditions.

From the Airport Take I-80 east to I-215 south/east. Take Exit 6, 6200 South, and turn right toward the mountains. Continue straight as the road becomes Hwy 210 and follows Little Cottonwood Canyon. Snowbird is approximately 7 miles from the base of the canyon.

From Downtown Salt Lake City or North of Salt Lake Take I-15 south to I-215 east. Take Exit 6, 6200 South, and turn right toward the mountains. Continue straight as the road becomes Hwy 210 and follows Little Cottonwood Canyon. Snowbird is approximately 7 miles from the base of the canyon.

From the South End of the Valley From I-15, take the 9000 South exit and head east. Continue as 9000 South becomes 9400 South. At the entrance to Little Cottonwood Canyon, turn right and continue approximately 7 miles to Snowbird.

Accessing The Cliff Lodge Take Snowbird Entry 4 and keep right. The Cliff Lodge will be on your right.

Self-parking is available by turning left at the bottom of the hill. Complimentary valet parking is available by turning right into the Cliff Lodge portico.

After entering The Cliff Lodge, take the escalator up one floor. The Executive MBA check-in table will be located at the top.
