April 1 - 3, 2026

Leading High Performing Teams | Jennifer Cummings, Ph.D. April 1: 8:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. | April 2: 8:30 a.m. - Noon Collaborative, high-functioning teams are critical in delivering effective and compassionate patient care. This session focuses on research-backed strategies to foster positive communication, build synergy, and overcome the challenges that can leave team members feeling frustrated or disconnected. Learn proven methods to help your health care team unlock their full potential in fast-paced, high-stakes environments.

Navigating Change in Health Care | Bonita Austin, MBA April 2: 12:30 p.m. - 4 p.m. | April 3: 8:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.

This session examines ways to structure and implement change within an organization to improve performance and respond to challenges. Health care professionals will learn change management theories and how to apply them, ways to mitigate resistance to change, how to combat change fatigue, tools of cooperation, and the elements of successful change efforts.

• Select the most effective tools of cooperation and change for different situations • Evaluate the likelihood that a particular initiative will succeed • Identify the steps in putting together an effective change management plan • Reduce employee resistance to change

Collaborative Negotiations: Influencing Positive Change in Health Care | Katie Liljenquist, Ph.D. May 7: 5 - 9 p.m. | May 8: 8:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Negotiation is a critical skill for health care professionals, where decisions often affect patient outcomes, operational efficiencies, and stakeholder relationships. This session equips you with the tools to evaluate, monitor, and improve your negotiation abilities in high-stakes scenarios. Learn methods to mediate conflicts, secure mutually beneficial agreements, and make data-informed decisions. Participants will: • Understand how to leverage negotiation techniques to drive better patient care and organizational outcomes • Develop strategies for managing challenging conversations with colleagues, patients, or external partners • Improve planning and preparation processes for negotiations in dynamic health care environments • Master adaptive techniques to respond to evolving discussions during negotiations

In health care, where emotions can run high and critical decisions often spark differing opinions, managing conflict effectively is essential. This session explores how to foster respectful and productive conversations, even in the face of challenging situations. Learn strategies to prevent and de-escalate conflict, enabling your team to maintain focus on providing excellent patient care and achieving organizational goals. Participants will learn: • Understand the benefits and risks of conflict • Recognize your feelings about conflict • Understand the physiological responses to conflict • Make your conflict style work for you • Apply strategies for managing conflict effectively • Prevent and de-escalate hostile reactions • Implement strategies to respond and adapt during negotiations

Finance & Accounting for Health Care Professionals | Stephen Stubben, Ph.D. June 18: 5 - 9 p.m. | June 19: 8:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.

This session is designed as an overview of accounting and finance. Participants will gain the necessary tools to interpret and use financial information to make key decisions with a particular focus on practical application. Participants will learn: • How to use financial information to make decisions that reduce risk and increase the value of the organization • How to determine the organization’s cost of capital • How to use discounted cash flow analysis to make capital spending decisions • How to assess and avoid unreasonable financial risk and manage the planning and control-related activities

August 13 - 14, 2026

Mastering Strategic Leadership | Todd Zenger, Ph.D. August 13: 5 - 9 p.m. | August 14: 8:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Strategic leadership in health care involves navigating complex systems, managing limited resources, and fostering innovation while delivering high-quality patient care. This session empowers health care professionals to develop strategic skills, identify and solve critical challenges, and drive sustainable growth in dynamic and uncertain environments. Learn how to align your team around a vision that enhances outcomes for both patients and your organization. Participants will spend time: • Discovering their Strategic Leadership Profile • Exploring, creating, and capturing sources of value, especially in uncertain or changing conditions • Developing agility to address and anticipate potential challenges • Engaging and leading your team towards your vision • Creating strategies to attract partnerships and collaborations

September 10 - 11, 2026

Speaking for Influence | Kathryn Cañas, Ph.D. September 10: 5 - 9 p.m. | September 11: 8:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Effective communication is vital in health care leadership, where conveying complex information clearly and persuasively can significantly impact patient outcomes and team dynamics. This session is designed to enhance your public speaking skills, enabling you to connect authentically with diverse audiences, including patients, colleagues, and stakeholders.

Through practical exercises and personalized feedback, you’ll develop the confidence and techniques necessary to deliver compelling messages that inspire and influence. Participants will: • Assess strengths and areas of development as a public speaker • Be more persuasive/confident with different audiences (hostile, diverse, etc.)

• Learn to assess and understand your audience’s needs and perspectives to tailor your message effectively • Implement storytelling, metaphors, rhetorical questions, and repetition to create a powerful, emotional connection with your audience • Develop skills to organize your speech with a clear and persuasive introduction, body, and conclusion • Achieve a mindful, kinesthetic delivery that enhances your presence and engagement during presentations • Explore techniques to manage and reduce anxiety associated with public speaking, fostering a more confident and relaxed delivery
