Charming and clever Rosina has captured the attention of two men: the older Dr. Bartolo and the penniless student Lindoro (the incognito Count Almaviva). Enter Seville’s barber, Figaro, who is enlisted by the Count to assist him in winning Rosina’s heart and who does so through a series of hilarious pranks and disguises. Sung in Italian with English supertitles.

Described as A Marriage of Figaro for today, Flight provides the comedic yet touching story of a refugee who lives in the airport surrounded by a colorful cast of characters who find themselves delayed in the terminal. As the delay drags on, the group learns that their overnight stay will be both physically and emotionally challenging as they navigate relationships, deception, and eventual reconciliation. Sung in English with English supertitles.

UTAH OPERA’S 2021–22 SEASON

Fiery young diva Floria Tosca is forced to play a role she never imagined when she becomes trapped between her freedomfighting lover and a ruthless police chief whose lust for her overrides his duty to his country. This explosive predicament comes to a heart-stopping conclusion in one of opera’s most intense dramas. Sung in Italian with English supertitles.

Frederic, an apprentice indentured to the world’s most trusting band of pirates, is celebrating his 21st birthday and searching for love when he encounters the Major-General’s group of daughters. Hilarity ensues as the Major-General plots to keep his daughters from the pirates, and the Pirate King makes plans to keep Frederic in his band. Sung in English with English supertitles.
