By using this manual to provide a youth-led, adult-supported experience, we are making youth partners in the program and allowing them to explore the needs of the youth community and make it better by forming initiatives to address those needs.

This manual is meant to provide you with most of the tools and information you need to facilitate your youth through a CNA. The manual is written for you as the facilitator, and you will not want to share the manual itself with your youth team as it is not written using language or instructions for them (and they will likely find it boring and overwhelming). However, you will need to read the manual to guide you through the process (see Figure below) and follow the steps outlined throughout to ensure you are following the evidencebased approach 2 to needs assessments.
