Hello Missouri Valley members, It is my honor and privilege to serve as your president for the Missouri Valley Division. I know I am following some truly great leaders who have held this position before me, and they will continue to be valuable resources throughout my time in this role.

Our Missouri Valley Board is here to represent you—our fellow racquet professionals. If you have ideas or thoughts about our association, please reach out to me or any of our board members. We will do our best to address your ideas or concerns. If there are things you would like to see happening in our division, or areas where we can improve, we want to hear from you.

I would like to thank our past president, Tom Jennings, for his service and leadership over the past four years. He guided us through challenging times with the rebranding of our association and has positioned our division for future success.

The RSPA and our Missouri Valley Division are only as strong as our members. The more you invest in the association, the more you will gain from it—whether through serving on the Board or Associate Board, networking, continuing education, mentoring, volunteering, attending conferences, or upgrading your coaching level and sport certifications. As we continue to grow as professionals, our association will grow with us. And as racquet sports continue to expand, we must keep elevating our standards to remain leaders in the industry. We also need more professionals to meet the rising demand. If you have friends who are not certified, encourage them to join our association.

A great place to begin is at our Missouri Valley Conference, February 20–21, at Quail Creek Country Club in Oklahoma City. Our keynote speaker, Craig O’Shannessy, has been spending time “down under” at the Australian Open and will bring us the latest analytics and developments in the game. We also have several outstanding speakers presenting in the areas of coaching and teaching, leadership, operations, and careers. This is an excellent opportunity to earn education credits, network, and brainstorm with fellow racquet professionals. The knowledge you gain can be taken back to your facilities and shared with your teams and members.

I hope to see you there!

Sincerely,

MISSOURI VALLEY

I am excited to serve on the RSPA Missouri Valley board and help our organization continue to be the gold standard in racquet sports! Currently, I serve as the Director of Racquets for Algonquin Golf Club in Saint Louis, MO. Over the past 20+ years, I have gained experience across nearly all realms of racquet sports, including serving as a director for public parks, a head professional at country clubs and racquet clubs, and coaching collegiate tennis. I am a UF-DORS graduate and hold numerous certifications through RSPA, PTR, and PPR. I was also honored to receive the USTA-Southern Educational Merit Award in 2019 and was named the Arkansas Tennis Pro of the year in 2022. My family is my passion, and I enjoy spending time with my wife and three children. When I'm not on the court, I love attending hockey and baseball games and exploring the Saint Louis craft beer scene.

Please reach out if I can be of any assistance!

Best regards,

Brian
