We know that transferring can be a daunting process. That’s why the University of Sioux Falls is here for you The Whole Way. Small classes, personal attention from faculty and staff and a Christian atmosphere make USF an ideal place to continue your education. The Scoop:

Applying for Admission (traditional, undergraduate) • If you want to enroll in more than 6 credits per semester, have accumulated 12 credits at USF or if you intend to receive financial aid, you must apply for admission.

• To apply for admission, simply go to usiouxfalls.edu/admissions and fill out the online application. You must also submit official transcripts from your high school (or GED certificate) and all post-secondary institutions you have attended.

Applying for Admission (Degree Completion Program) Our Degree Completion Program (DCP) was created specifically for adults—including transfer students—who want to complete their degree while still working, raising a family or pursuing other interests. DCP allows you to earn your degree after attending classes just one evening per week in less than two years. DCP features include the following: • Degrees in accounting, management and entrepreneurial studies • Flexible class schedule one night per week • Affordable costs-per-credit • Spring, summer and fall start dates For more information and to apply for DCP, visit usiouxfalls.edu/dcp, call 1-800-888-1407 or 1-605-331-6735 or email dcp@usiouxfalls.edu.

Financial Aid

Registering for Classes

• Scholarships and financial aid are available for transfer students. Visit usiouxfalls.edu/finaid to learn more.

• After you have been accepted for admission, we will send you a New Student Registration card for you to complete and return to us with your $100 tuition deposit.

• To receive federal financial aid, you must be accepted and enrolled in at least 6 credit hours each semester.

• To receive USF institutional financial aid, you must be accepted and enrolled in at least 12 credit hours each semester.

• Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at fafsa.ed.gov as soon as possible after January 1, and include USF’s school code 003469. USF’s priority filing date annually is March 1.

• You will be assigned an advisor who will review your transcript evaluation with you and help you register for classes at a New Student Registration day.

Graduation Requirements • You will need to complete 128 credits.

Transferring Credits

• You will need to complete your final 30 credits and half of your major requirements at USF.

• Most credits from four-year regionally accredited institutions transfer to USF, as well as credits (maximum of 64) from twoyear regionally accredited institutions.

• You will need to complete USF’s liberal arts core requirements. Visit usiouxfalls.edu/liberalartscore to find the list of requirements.

• If you have completed any post-secondary coursework, bring your transcripts with you to your campus visit. We’ll provide immediate information to you about how your credits may transfer into your program of study. It’s that easy.
