It is an honor to welcome you to the 2021 USHCC National Conference! Thank you for being a part of America’s largest Hispanic business organization. Our theme this year is the “Your Business Future Begins with US(HCC) - America’s Economic Prosperity Depends on More Equity for Latino Business!”
Partnership underscores our mission as a pro-business, nonpartisan organization dedicated to strengthening America’s 4.7 million Hispanic-owned businesses, that together, contribute more than $800 billion to the American economy each year.
We are proud to advocate on behalf of America’s dynamic Hispanic workforce. Over the past 10 years, Latina entrepreneurs, specifically, create businesses six times faster than their non-minority counterparts. Before the pandemic’s effect on the national economy, Latino entrepreneurs started businesses at a rate three times faster than the national average of non-Latino entrepreneurs.
We are guided by our mission to empower our community by providing resources and adding value to our members.
Our vision at the USHCC is to be the leading voice to advance Hispanic business potential to drive our American economy. To this end, we have focused our advocacy on behalf of our Hispanic-owned businesses, Hispanic Chambers of Commerce, and Corporate Partner Members guided by our “Three C’s”:
Capital – Expanding equitable access to capital through traditional and innovative partnerships, Capacity – Building capacity through programming, training, and new grant investments, and Connections – Establishing connections through matchmaking, procurement, and advocacy.
We will strengthen our collective voice as America’s largest Hispanic business organization to advocate for equity and a seat at the decision-making tables in the U.S. Congress, Administration, and America’s largest corporations on behalf of our Latino community. We as a nation must continue to expand access to capital, education, and procurement opportunities to unleash the potential of our $2.6 trillion Latino GDP into the future. We are proud to represent 260 Hispanic Chambers throughout the nation.
Together, we will create generational wealth in our Latino community through education and entrepreneurship, and we will power America’s economic recovery.

To Chamber Leaders, Members, and Supporters,
It is great to join you at the 2021 USHCC National Conference, and JPMorgan Chase is proud to participate again this year and support the mission of helping Hispanic businesses grow.
As we rebuild our economy from the effects of the pandemic, Latino business owners are playing a fundamental role in helping us drive a more inclusive recovery.
Two of the main ways to build wealth in our country are homeownership and small business ownership, and that is why our $30 billion commitment to advance racial equity has a strong focus on these two areas. To make America work for more of us, we need to help more people gain access to capital, resources, information, policies and processes that can help broaden opportunities for Hispanic and Black communities.
We announced specific home lending and small business lending commitments in October 2020 and our team has been working tenaciously to help us deliver on those commitments over the course of 5 years. In the process, we are working locally to learn understand the barriers that are holding communities back and identifying solutions to help solve them.
An important part of that work is working with organizations like yours. The only way to address systemic challenges is to work together. That is why this conference and your work is incredibly important in helping identify the policies and insights needed to help businesses of all sizes stay open, create jobs, and grow.
We look forward to the next few days and what we can accomplish together long-term. We also want to thank USHCC Chairwoman and my colleague, Alice Rodriguez, for her leadership in helping our firm get closer to the needs of our neighborhoods.
Sincerely,

Dear Friends,
On behalf of Toyota, welcome to the 2021 U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce National Conference both to those attending in-person in the Entertainment Capital of the World, Las Vegas or virtually. This marks the USHCC’s first hybrid conference, which is designed to accommodate all comfort levels during the ongoing pandemic and to facilitate and expand access during this challenging era.
This year’s gathering is especially important, as it comes while we are all working to regain the pre-pandemic strength of the economy, striving to recover a robust workforce, a seamless global supply chain and buoyant consumer confidence.
That’s why your participation in this conference is crucial. Latino entrepreneurs are key to our economy, especially in our small and mediumsized enterprise sector that provides vitality and economic lifeblood in communities across America.
It is essential that minority-owned businesses be strongly represented in the policymaking sector as the nation undertakes efforts to rebuild the economy. With 200-plus local chambers encompassing 4.7 million members, the USHCC is a long-respected and powerful advocate to ensure that the collective voice of the Latino entrepreneurial community is heard and its impact is felt throughout the halls of government.
We thank each and every one of you for sustaining the course during these times and for being here. Your participation underscores the resilience of the Latino business community and our future prosperity.
On behalf of Toyota, we wish you a productive conference and a pleasant stay.
Be safe, stay healthy.

Dear USHCC Members and Supporters,
Welcome to the 2021 U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce National Convention. Wells Fargo is proud to support the USHCC and its work to promote the economic growth, development, and interests of more than 4.7 million Hispanic-owned businesses that, combined, contribute more than $800 billion to the American economy every year.
COVID-19 has impacted all of our lives, and as Americans, we continue to navigate the challenges it presents. As a company, Wells Fargo is committed to fostering an inclusive economic recovery from the pandemic, with a focus on small-business owners, including Hispanic small-business owners.
Through our Open for Business Fund, which we created in 2020, Wells Fargo is donating $420 million in gross processing fees from loans we made in the Paycheck Protection Program to offer capital, training, and long-term support to small businesses, with an emphasis on racially and ethnically diverse-owned companies. In its first year, the Open for Business Fund has helped approximately 124,000 small businesses – and these businesses have in turn been able to keep an estimated 224,000 local jobs in the communities they serve.
Wells Fargo also strives to create long-lasting collaborative relationships with our suppliers, including Hispanic-owned businesses. In the past three years, Wells Fargo has spent more than $400 million with certified Hispanic-owned businesses who are vendors to our company. We spent more than $114 million with certified Hispanic-owned businesses in 2020 alone. We’re providing a broad range of tools and resources to diverse suppliers to help them build their capacity and expertise — enabling them to increase the economic impact they have on their communities.
Finally, through collaborations with organizations like the USHCC and the Latino Business Action Network, Wells Fargo is helping Hispanic businesses grow by sponsoring business development training and mentoring programs. In 2020, these programs helped support more than 225 Hispanic-owned businesses. We are a top sponsor of the Stanford Latino Entrepreneurship Initiative, which aims to empower Latino business leaders to grow substantial firms that create jobs, develop leaders, and build a new generation of companies.
We applaud the USHCC’s mission and we’re honored to work with the organization — and Hispanic-owned businesses — to achieve a meaningful, inclusive economic recovery in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Sincerely,

Dear USHCC Members & Friends,
For more than a century, bp has been committed to supporting the U.S. economy especially in the communities where our people live and work. As of 2020, bp employs nearly 10,000 people and supports over 125,000 jobs in and across the U.S. We are proud of our history in America and the longstanding commitment to the U.S.
bp’s commitment to America goes beyond safely providing the energy and jobs that drive economic prosperity. As our new purpose states, we are reimagining energy for people and our planet. And after more than a century defined by oil and gas, we have set our strategy to become a very different energy company in the next decade. A critical foundation of that strategy is a sustainability framework with three focus areas: getting to net zero, caring for our planet, and improving people’s lives.
Being a Latina woman and a senior vice president in Innovation & Engineering at bp, I strongly believe in the important work and mission of USHCC and its alignment to bp’s strategy. We know the more than 4.7 million Hispanic-owned businesses represented by the USHCC are a critical part of the U.S. economy today – and will be well into the future.
Supplier diversity is an area where our community and business investments truly intersect. bp is one of the first major corporations in the U.S. to create a formal program aimed at increasing supplier diversity.
Since 2018, bp has spent $1.3 billion with certified diverse suppliers across three diversity strands – minorities, women and veterans. And we remain committed to increasing our spend with diverse suppliers. Our aim is to spend $1 billion with certified diverse suppliers annually by 2025, and efforts like launching a global supplier diversity strategy, increasing our diverse supplier pipeline, and our coaching and mentoring diverse supplier development program will help us get there.
The quality of our work depends on our workforce, customers, partners and the communities we engage like the USHCC. Together we can reimagine energy for people and our planet.
Sincerely,
Aleida Rios

Comcast NBCUniversal and Telemundo are proud to support the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and their 2021 National Conference.
Greetings
Dear USHCC Members, Local Chamber Leaders, Sponsors and National Conference Attendees,
On Behalf of Comcast NBCUniversal Telemundo and Sky’s 200,00 global employees, I am honored to attend the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce’s 2021 National Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada. The National Conference is an important convening for the Hispanic Business community, but after the last 18 months of a global pandemic, and the economic fall-out that has struck minority-owned businesses disproportionately hard, I’m grateful for this opportunity to convene and dialogue about how Hispanic business leaders will drive our economic recovry.
Over the next several days, you will hear from the best and brightest business owners, local Hispanic Chambers of Commerce, and Corporate Partners. Your presence and participation here at our National Conference – and online -- will not only contribute to more robust Hispanic economic development, but also to the restoration of the American economy as a whole.
I want to thank the Board Chair Alice Rodriquez and President Ramiro Cavazos for their leadership and steady hands during these trying times. I am proud to serve on the USHCC Board of Directors and grateful to be a part of a team dedicated to addressing the issues facing our community at a time of so much need. I’m struck by the unity and resilience that has been shown by the USHCC community throughout this crisis, as well as our collective resolve to continue fiercely advocating for a more equitable and prosperous future as we recover the economic impact of COVID-19.
At Comcast, we are committed to our partnership with the USHCC and have spent the last year learning from Hispanic business leaders to develop initiatives that address the unique impact that COVID-19 has had on the Hispanic business community. Below is a selection of Comcast NBCUniversal initiatives created in partnership with the USHCC to support Hispanic-owned businesses:
COMCAST RISE & NUESTROS NEGOCIOS – Comcast NBCUniversal launched Comcast RISE as part of our $100M Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiative to offer grants, marketing resources, and technology updates to help businesses become more resilient. At Comcast, we’re committed to enhancing businesses of all sizes to offer the technologyforward experiences their customers expect, enabling them to go beyond bouncing back to bouncing forward.
INTERNET ESSENTIALS – We know accessible and reliable Internet is more critical now than ever – and businesses understand that customers need internet service to access products and services across all sectors. In that vein, Comcast expanded Internet Essentials, the nation’s largest, most comprehensive, and successful Internet adoption program and increased internet speeds to 50/5 Mbps without raising prices from $9.95/month, the same it has been since 2011. Since the beginning of the pandemic, eligible IE customers receive 60 days of free service. Households qualify for IE if they are eligible for public assistance programs such as the National School Lunch Program, Housing Assistance, Medicaid, SNAP, SSI, and others. To learn more about how we’re bridging the digital divide, please visit www.InternetEssentials.com.
I am delighted to continue our work and to interact at this year’s hybrid conference, whether they be in-person or on screen.
Bank of America takes a strong stance in helping better our communities. We focus on issues that fundamentally connect to economic mobility — like workforce training, affordable housing and addressing basic needs. By partnering with organizations that drive local solutions, we can help people build better lives and create strong, sustainable local communities.

Dear Members and Supporters of USHCC,
On behalf of Bank of America, and as Board Chair of the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce, welcome to the 2021 United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce National Conference.
Bank of America has been honored to partner with USHCC for more than 15 years. Together, we provide vital support to millions of Hispanic-owned businesses across the U.S., including economic relief programs and bilingual technical assistance delivered at the local level through USHCC’s extensive network of chambers across the country.
Importantly, this collaboration extends beyond the national level. Locally, through our Hispanic- Latino Business Councils, we are connecting with chambers in our top 20 Hispanic-Latino markets, bringing access to financial services and education closer to small business clients and customers.
We are proud to serve as the bank of choice for Hispanic clients and businesses –with nearly one in three of our new checking accounts opened by Hispanic-Latino clients. We continue to support our clients’ financial wellness through programs like Mejores Hábitos Financieros™ (Better Money Habits), and providing free, online tools and education through Spanish-language resources.
As we look to grow our business responsibly, it is critical that we reflect the diverse communities we serve, including our 12 million Hispanic-Latino clients, one million being small business owners, and do our part to help address societal challenges. In support of this work, Bank of America is delivering on our commitment of $1.25 billion over five-years to advance equality and economic opportunity for people of color, including Hispanic-Latinos, and women-owned businesses. This commitment accelerates work already underway with a focus on health, jobs, housing and small businesses.
As we continue to make progress on this journey, we thank each of you for joining us at this year’s USHCC Conference. Together, with USHCC’s leadership, we can help advance Hispanic businesses to drive a stronger economy and create a brighter future for all.
