To be completely honest with you guys, I would consider myself to be one of the biggest Harry Styles’ fans to ever exist. I’m sure every Harry fan believes that, but I know it to be true. You could show me a random picture of this man, and I could tell you the date, event, and era that it’s from. Although that may sound weird, if not borderline crazy, I like to think that it shows that I’m a dedicated and hardworking person.
Anyways, you can only imagine my excitement when I got to see the Mr. Harry Styles for Love On Tour. My best friend, Grace, and I went to the September 24 show at the United Center, the first of his two sold out shows in Chicago. We had bought our tickets in 2019, which feels like an entire lifetime ago. You would not believe how good it felt to be back at a show, and how much better it was for the performer to be someone that we both love.
His opening act was the wonderful Jenny Lewis. Although I had never heard any of her music beforehand, I found myself falling in love with her sound as the set went on. Her energy was unreal and, by the end of her act, the entire crowd was on their feet. If you don’t believe me, listen to her song “Red Bull & Hennessy.” I guarantee that you’ll love it!

If I had to pick my favorite part of the entire night, I would have to say that it was, without a doubt, seeing all the feathers floating in the air and down Madison St. If you don’t know, a feather boa is a Harry Styles staple and almost every fan was sporting one that night.
If you ever get the chance to see Harry in concert, I would advise against saying no. Even if you’re not a fan of his, by the end of the night, he’ll win you over. Although I would have loved to go to both of his shows, I won’t take for granted the amazing time I had and the amazing memories I made.
Yours, Sarah
