The University’s Plan The University of South Florida is committed to promoting the health and safety of every member of the University community and to delivering high quality instruction, including resuming some inperson classes in the fall of 2020.
FOCUSING ON STUDENTS From team member health monitoring to dining area adjustments, our operational plans include detailed strategies to ensure that the USF Community feels safe when returning to campus.
ENGAGING EMPLOYEES USF Dining employees will feel safe and confident when returning to work. Each location will train employees on the newest health monitoring, sanitation practices and operational changes taking place across campus.
ADAPTING OPERATIONS A nimble and flexible approach towards changing conditions focused on the safety and needs of our guests.
As we return to a new normal, there are two goals that USF will strive to meet:
SHORT TERM: Transition in a phased approach back to on-campus operations while continuing to implement social distancing measures as indicated by the data.
LONG TERM: Promote academic continuity and economic, community, and sustained public health recovery for the University.
Adapting Our Operations With safety as our highest priority, we are adjusting our operations at all levels to exceed students’ safety standards and contribute to the overall health of our USF community. Some of these re-open operations strategies include: • Directional and informative signs and graphics • Floor markers designating safe distances and directional traffic flow
