USC-Beaufort Department of Nursing Guidelines for Submitting Application to the BSN Major (Courses Designated as BNUR) Please follow these guidelines when submitting an application: 1. Application deadline: October 1, 2009 for January 2010 admission into the BSN major (core nursing classes). 2. You must be fully accepted to USC–Beaufort by the application deadline. (Transfer students must apply to the university at least 2 months prior in order to have time for your transcripts to be evaluated.) If they have not been completely evaluated by the application deadline and you have not met with a nursing advisor, your application may not be considered. (USC system students should do a “change of campus” form in time to have your transcript evaluated.) 3. Please use the mailing address to which you want your decision letter sent. If there is a problem with your application we will email you at the address you have listed on your application. 4. The Grade Forgiveness Policy applies only to USC–Beaufort students who have discussed the policy with their USCB nursing advisor and it has been properly documented in the student’s folder. 5. If you are currently taking coursework at another university, please list each course and at what school. 6. Transfer students must submit unofficial copies of their transcripts with their application. This information is on VIP (for USCB students) and on the transcript evaluation (for transfer students). If you are not sure please contact the USCB Admissions at 843-208-8000. 7. GPA: Your overall GPA must be a 2.75 or higher. 8. You must have completed at least 30 pre-requisite hours, including all of your science courses (chemistry, anatomy & physiology I & II, and microbiology) by the end of the fall 2009 semester for entry into the spring 2010 BSN major. If your GPA falls below a 2.75 at the end of the fall 2009 semester, your acceptance into the BSN major will be withdrawn.
