USCB Invites Local Banks to Connect with Incoming Students August 14, 2011 Bluffton , SC- The University of South Carolina Beaufort encourages local financial institutions to assist students with setting up bank accounts on Bank Day, August 14th (Sunday). Over 400 students who will be moving into their dorms, as well as their accompanying parents, are likely to be present. According to the Director of Career services, Rachel Hoover, “Bank Day gives local banks and students a chance to connect and set up student bank accounts. Making banking arrangements is typically one of the first things a person does when moving, so it’s only natural this function take place on campus. It’s a mutually beneficial event for both students and local banking personnel.” Bank Day will take place from 9am-2pm at the USCB Hilton Head Gateway Campus, located on Hwy 278 in Bluffton. Bank representatives wishing to participate in Bank Day, should RSVP to Rachel Hoover at careerservices@uscb.edu or 843-208-8263.
