2009 Cohort Business Degree Completion Program PRELIMINARY CALENDAR ENTRANCE COMPETENCIES: Approximately sixty credit hours of General Education Core requirements are necessary for completion of the USCB Degree Completion Program. One term course typically equals 3 or 4 credit hours. The DCP accepts transfer credits from accredited institutions. While several credits are elective, specific requirements minimally include: English [Composition I & II, Literature] 9 credit hours Mathematics [Algebra & Calculus] 6 credit hours Introduction to Computers 3 credit hours Communication/Business Speech 3 credit hours History 3 credit hours Fine Arts (Architecture, Art History, Music, or Theater) 3 credit hours Non-western Studies 3 credit hours Humanities (Sociology, Psychology, or Geography) 3 credit hours Foreign Language (Spanish or French) 6 credit hours Natural Sciences with Labs (CHM, BIO, or PSY) 8 credit hours Micro/Macro Economics 6 credit hours Should students not have these General Education transfer requirements, students may take the necessary courses in the evening or on Saturday before, during or after starting the Saturday cohort program. The Saturday cohorts begin every August. Students need to supply transcripts (GPA of 2.0 required), resumes and letters of recommendation by employers, as well as the application documentation.
