Arch 605a: The comprehensive studio that addressed the design for a huge public space gallery. I almost worked all day and night to rationalize the design and produce the most comprehensive drawing set I ever had in my architecture career. USC Architecture laid a solid foundation for me as a starting point for my future career.

Arch 580: a two-week field trip led by Gary Paige to Japan. It offered me a unique and in-depth opportunity to examine and appreciate Japanese architecture and culture behind it. The Nakagin Capsule Tower impressed me most as an avant-garde style building that still influential today.

A lot of memories were made over the study abroad program - from eating the best pizza in Roma to having a blast speeding through the Sahara Desert whilst on ATVs.

It was amazing getting to interact with Pritzker laureate and alumnus Thom Mayne.

Getting photographed with him was definitely one of the finest memories during my M.Arch at USC.

The topic studio “Oblique Verticality - Skyscraper Design” during semester 3 under the guidance of Alvin Huang was by far the most challenging studio I’ve been in, which required pushing myself greatly. It definitely helped me grow and produce work I’ll always be proud of and remember for years to come.
