Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, 1978
David Bohnett, a USC Trustee, is a philanthropist and technology entrepreneur committed to effecting positive change through community building and social activism. In addition to serving as chair of the David Bohnett Foundation, he serves as a trustee of the Brookings Institution, the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts, the Los Angeles Philharmonic Association, and amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research, along with affiliations at other organizations.
Since 1999, the David Bohnett Foundation has provided funding, state-of-the-art technology and technical support to hundreds of innovative organizations and institutions in several primary funding areas: The Fund for Los Angeles, which supports a broad spectrum of arts, educational and civic programs, including the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and CicLAvia; LGBT-related causes; graduate school leadership programs at the University of Michigan, UCLA, NYU and Harvard; voting rights and registration initiatives; research and public policies to reduce the toll of firearm violence; and animal research and rights.
In addition, the foundation has contributed more than $120 million in grants to such organizations as the Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence, The Wildlife Alliance, the ACLU Foundation, Equality California, and the David Bohnett Gay & Lesbian Leadership Fellows program at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government. Another major undertaking are the David Bohnett CyberCenters; these computer labs offer online business, educational, research and recreational opportunities at 58 LGBTQ community social service centers nationwide.
Bohnett has long been a leader in the technology and information services industry, with a focus on businesses that empower individuals, improve lives and build viable communities by connecting like-minded people. In 1994, he founded GeoCities.com, a media and e-commerce company that was once ranked one of the four most trafficked sites on the web. GeoCities became publicly traded on NASDAQ and was acquired by Yahoo! Inc. in 1999.
Prior to founding GeoCities, Bohnett was an active partner in Xdrive. com, Wireimage.com, Stamps.com and LowerMyBills.com, among many others. He also held various positions in the software industry for Legent and Goal Systems. Bohnett started his career as a staff consultant with Accenture (then Andersen Consulting).
Over the course of his career, Bohnett has received many awards and distinctions, including the Los Angeles Business Journal’s Technology Leader of the Year, Time Digital’s Top 50 Cyber Elite, and Entrepreneur of the Year for Southern California.
In addition to his USC degree, Bohnett earned an MBA in finance from the University of Michigan and a Doctorate of Humane Letters, Honoris Causa from Whittier College.
Patsy Dewey Bachelor of Science in Education, 1958
Patsy Dewey is the CEO of Dewey Pest Control, a highly rated family business headquartered in Pasadena, California, that is an industry leader in the use of environmentally friendly methods of pest control.
Dewey is a dedicated supporter of the USC Libraries. She’s an inaugural member of Friends of the USC Libraries, as well as an active member of the USC Libraries Board of Councilors and the Planning Committee for the annual Scripter Award. In honor of her grandchildren, three of whom attended USC, she has contributed generously to the USC Libraries Top-Drawer Society.
Her commitment to USC extends beyond the USC Libraries to being a Chairman-level member of the USC Associates, a Scholarship Club member of the Trojan Athletic Fund, and a generous contributor to the Heritage Initiative and the USC Trojan Marching Band. For more than 10 years, Dewey has supported the USC Physically Challenged Athletes Scholarship Fund and its affiliated event, Swim With Mike. In 2019, she and her family endowed a Swim With Mike scholarship in perpetuity for a physically challenged athlete. Dewey also donated the American flag in use at the renovated Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. At the USC Wrigley Institute for Environmental Studies on Catalina Island, which seeks global environmental solutions through frontier research and education, she named the Dewey Family House at the George and Mary Lou Boone Center for Science and Environmental Leadership. These and Dewey’s many other philanthropic endeavors at USC have earned her recognition as a member of the prestigious Widney Society, honoring benefactors who have given or pledged $1 million or more to the university.
Dewey is also a Trojan parent and grandparent. One of her sons, Brock, is a 1983 graduate of the USC Marshall School of Business. His children, Cameron and Paige, graduated from the USC Marshall School of Business and the USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism in 2012 and 2014, respectively. In addition, her son Steven’s wife, Lise, earned a master’s from USC Bovard College in 2019.
Dianne Kwock and Lunny Ronnie Jung Doctors of Pharmacy, 1972 and 1974
Dianne Kwock and Lunny Ronnie Jung have served as pharmacists in the San Joaquin Valley for more than 40 years. As the husband and wife owners of Sunnyside Pharmacy in Fresno and Fox Drugs in Selma, Parlier and Fowler, they are critical, frontline healthcare providers in this underserved California community of farmworkers, immigrants and working-class families. They provide a level of personalized care that is greatly appreciated by their clients.
Under their leadership, Fox Drugs has been providing pharmacy services to assisted living facilities for the past 26 years. To promote the safe and accurate distribution of medications, Fox Drugs helps these facilities streamline the paperwork process—an invaluable service in a field where miscommunication can have serious consequences. In addition, Fox Drugs also works with a pre-assisted living home program, which strives to enable its clients to live in their homes. By monitoring the medications of the program’s clients, Fox Drugs pharmacists help these people live independently as long as possible.
Despite setting down roots 200 miles away from Los Angeles, the Jungs have stayed committed to the USC School of Pharmacy through their dedicated service on the school’s Board of Councilors, where Kwock currently sits on the Management Subcommittee. In 2011, they made a $1 million naming gift to the school, to establish the Dianne Kwock Jung and Lunny Ronnie Jung Centennial Park, a gathering place in front of the school for students, faculty, staff and alumni. They host events at their home for local pharmacy alums, and were jointly awarded the USC School of Pharmacy Outstanding Alumnus Award in 2012.
Kwock’s service to USC extends beyond her work on behalf of the School of Pharmacy. She is a charter member of the Orange County Chapter of the USC Asian Pacific Alumni Association, and has traveled abroad to advance the university’s educational and research goals, most notably in Shanghai, where she met with local Trojans.
Kwock is also a chartered member and serves on the board of managers of University PharmCo (UPC). UPC helps university schools of pharmacy accelerate the development of their intellectual properties and enabling technologies into products for sale.
The Jungs met at the USC School of Pharmacy, and have two sons who are also Trojans: Nicholas ’03, MD ’07 and Jason ’00, MBA ’07.
Kathleen Burns Campos
Bachelor of Arts in History and International Relations, 1983
Kathleen Burns Campos has been a tireless supporter of the university for nearly 40 years, generously donating her time and talent to numerous USC organizations. She joined the USC Alumni Association (USCAA) a month before graduation and has been a dedicated volunteer ever since, supporting more than 10 USC associations. Campos joined the Trojan League of Los Angeles (TLLA) in 1999 and held numerous leadership positions over the years, including president from 2014 to 2016.
In addition to TLLA, Campos is a devoted member of Town & Gown of USC and currently serves as the organization’s chief financial officer. She also served on the Alumni Coordinating Council as the admitted student reception chair, as well as on the Association of Trojan Leagues, from 2009 to 2017.
As a freshman in 1979, Campos joined the USC “Spirit of Troy” Trojan Marching Band. An enthusiastic supporter of the band, she is a founding member of the USC Trojan Marching Band Alumni Association.
From 1999 to 2004, Campos served three terms on the USC Alumni Association Board of Governors. She currently represents the USC Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences on the USCAA board.
Over the years, Campos has volunteered for a wide range of university groups, from the USC Caruso Catholic Center and Our Savior Parish Newman Guild to the USC Latino Alumni Association and USC Associates. She has been a Skull & Dagger member since 2000, and her other affiliations include Alpha Gamma Delta, Swim With Mike, USC Cardinal and Gold, and the USC Kappa Sigma Parent’s Club. In recognition of her outstanding service, the USC Alumni Association presented her with a President’s Award in 2011.
Professionally, Campos is a senior vice president in wealth management at Morgan Stanley in Pasadena. The philanthropic research group Forbes/Shook recently named Campos one of 2021’s “Best in State Wealth Advisors,” having recognized her last year as one of the nation’s “Top Women Wealth Advisors.” Also in 2020, Working Mother magazine named Campos one of its “Top Wealth Advisor Moms.” Campos met her husband Robert, a USC Marshall graduate, during their freshman year at band camp. Their son Devon is a third-generation Trojan and current USC Dornsife senior.
Richard Flores

Richard S. Flores is revered for his leadership, integrity and generosity of spirit in both the university and alumni communities. A first-generation college student, he is a firm believer in giving back, and devotes much of his time and expertise to several university groups.
A member of the USC Dornsife Board of Councilors since 2010, Flores currently serves on the board’s Education Committee, where he works on novel approaches to undergraduate and graduate education. He also volunteers for the USC Dornsife Gateway Internship Program, which provides opportunities for students to explore careers through paid summer internships that combine on-the-job experience with career seminars and mentoring support. Flores has served as a program mentor for the past nine summers, and regularly hosts an intern at Bank of the West, where he is a managing director and regional manager.
From 2014 to 2017, Flores served as the USC Dornsife representative on the USC Alumni Association Board of Governors. After his term concluded, he served as a member-at-large through 2020. He currently represents the USC Dornsife Board of Councilors on the school’s Alumni Advisory Council.
In addition to his volunteer work on behalf of USC Dornsife, Flores previously served on the board of directors of the USC Latino Alumni Association; the advisory board of the USC Westside Center for Diabetes; and the task force for the Eli and Edythe Broad Center for Regenerative Medicine and Stem Cell Research at the Keck School of Medicine of USC.
Flores also supports USC through his philanthropy. He is a Chairman-level member of the USC Associates and gives generously to USC Athletics, the USC Dornsife Brain and Creativity Institute, and the USC Dornsife Joint Educational Project.
Rachel Morford
Bachelor and Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, 2007
Rachel Morford is a principal director at The Aerospace Corporation, where she has made significant contributions to both the aerospace industry and critical national security space programs over the last 13 years.
A childhood desire to work in space, combined with a love of math and science, inspired Morford to enroll in the USC Viterbi School of Engineering, where she excelled academically and chaired the USC section of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. As a freshman, Morford joined the Society of Women Engineers (SWE), the world’s largest advocate and catalyst for change for women in engineering and technology. Over the years, she has held several SWE leadership roles, and now serves as president-elect of its board of directors. Morford began her career at The Aerospace Corporation in 2008 as a member of the Launch Directorate’s technical staff. Later, while working for the division’s chief engineer, she evaluated hardware, investigated anomalies and assessed risks for 14 successful launches. In addition, she represented the chief engineer at various forums, and coordinated efforts in the Aerospace laboratories that reduced program risks. Her work earned her a Team Achievement Award in 2011.
In 2013, Morford became a mission engineer. In this position, she engaged with key stakeholders to ensure the successful integration and launch of a national security space asset. Two years later, she was named a senior project engineer in Aerospace’s Future & International Programs, where she provided technical leadership to the U.S. Air Force’s Military Satellite Communications Systems (MILSATCOM) International Programs. During this time, Morford spearheaded the effort to integrate U.S. communications payloads onto Norwegian satellites, saving taxpayers nearly $1 billion and leading to a historic agreement between the two countries for launches this year. Morford and the team subsequently received the 2019 Air Force David Packard Award for Excellence in Acquisition. Currently, she manages a team responsible for integrating multiple space and ground programs supporting missile warning systems. She previously lead the Aerospace team supporting the production, launch and on-orbit testing of three high-value military communication satellites.
Devoted to her alma mater, Morford regularly returns to campus to volunteer and meet with students through the Viterbi Spotlight Series and other programs. She currently serves on the USC Alumni Association Board of Governors and the USC Viterbi Emerging Leader Board.

THE HISTORY
April 27, 1932 — In a letter to the Board of the Directors of the USC Alumni Association, Mr. Asa V. Call writes, “Confirming a proposal which was made some time ago, and which I understand meets with your approval, I am willing at this time to give to the Alumni Association a silver trophy to be awarded each year at or about Commencement, to the alumnus of our University who, by reason of his accomplishments in some field of endeavor, during the preceding year, reflects the greatest credit to our University… The Trophy will, of course, remain in the permanent possession of the University, and the name of the donee of the award will each year be engraved thereon. At the time of the presentation this person will be given for his permanent possession a smaller silver replica of the original trophy.”
May 1932 — In a column in the Alumni Review, Mr. Call noted: “There will be no General Alumni banquet this year. The dedication of the Alumni Gate or Pylon, which is to be held just before commencement exercises June fourth, 1932, will take its place. At the same ceremony the first annual award of the new Alumni Cup will be made to the alumnus of the university who has, by reason of his accomplishments during the preceding year, brought the greatest credit to our university.”
April 6, 1933 — Lewis Gough, Executive Secretary of the GAA, named the award the “Asa V. Call Alumni Achievement Trophy” in recognition of Mr. Call’s donation of the silver trophy and inspiring the award itself.
