Letter from the Chief Operating Officer, COO Dear Fans and Participants, Welcome to the Volleyball and Cross Country Small College National Championships here in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, part of the beautiful Laurel Highlands. I want to begin by congratulating our participants, each of you now represent the best small college programs in the nation. The fall season is always exciting as it is a chance at a fresh start! Whether you are a freshman experiencing college for the first time, a first-time national championship participant, or a senior who is in their final year of competition, the opportunity to start fresh each season, while you build on your previous experience, is something to look forward to each year. Even here, at the National Office, we relish the opportunity to capture a fresh start and build on our successes from last year. In addition to adding new faces to our team, we’ve also been working to make improvements to our Fall Championship events and venues which we hope you enjoy! The USCAA exists to provide opportunities for small colleges to compete for National Championships and student-athlete recognition and we are excited to celebrate all of your accomplishments and watch you compete on the playing surface in the coming days. I’d like to take the opportunity to thank our numerous local business partners including Penn State Fayette, the Eberly Campus and their staff and campus community for their support of these championships and their continued efforts in the planning and execution of this week’s events. I also want to recognize the Fayette County Chamber of Commerce, GO Laurel Highlands, the Fay-Penn Economic Development Council, the Herald Standard, and Metz Culinary Services. Additionally, I want to recognize our USCAA National partners including BSN Sports, Wilson Sporting Goods, Baron Rings, The Emblem Source, Hudl, NCSA Sports Recruiting and GeoSnapShot for their continued efforts in the development and advancement of the USCAA. We also cannot forget our hotel partners who include the Hilton Garden Inn – Uniontown, Comfort Suites – Uniontown, Comfort Inn – Connellsville, Chalk Hill Lodge, and the Hampton Inn in California as well as each of our tournament sponsors for their financial contributions, which go far in creating special experiences for our student-athletes. We also thank our tournament staff, many from our national office who have put in time to plan these championships, along with the dozens of tournament staff and officials who have traveled to be part of this event. Their ads are featured throughout this program, and we encourage you to visit their restaurants and shops.
