RUSSELL CONSTRUCTION COMPANY Russell Construction has worked for many of the well-known regional and national retail outlets including one of their largest customers Target. To meet the high demand of these national big box retailers, Russell Construction knew that they had to dedicate the majority of their manpower to making the Target stores a top priority. The major remodels on superstores require a lot of focus and professionalism, because the stores remain live as they work- 24 hours a day. Russell’s project management team works alongside both their day and night crews to complete these major remodels, which means communication, coordination and safety are even more important since these sites are never completely closed off for the construction. One store that presented a particular challenge was Target #1457 in Humble, Texas. The area had suffered from a 500year flood, and when Hurricane Harvey came through the situation was only exacerbated. The water from the river rose to waist high level and Russell had to work within the store to combat the damage and keep it operating as much as possible.
