Livestock is one of the fast growing sectors of economy. Small agriculture farmers having marginal holding and landless laborers usually practice dairy farming in addition to crop cultivation. The Income level of such people is generally low and close to poverty line. Implementation of training following this curriculum will enable the trained persons to act as link between milk producers and milk processor. On one side the self employed Village Milk Collection Agents will assure supply of quality milk to the processor where as on the other side small farmers will get reasonable price of their produced milk. Moreover they will arrange support services for the small farmers from the milk processor required for keeping the animals healthy and more productive. Thus this curriculum will contribute for reduction of poverty in rural areas and development of livestock and dairy sectors.
