The USABat standard was adopted across the United States on January 1, 2018, with the goal of establishing a wood-like performance standard for youth baseball bats. Since its inception, the wood-like standard has served to even the playing field in youth baseball, provide consistency between bats used at the youth, high school, collegiate and professional levels, and ensure the long-term integrity of youth baseball. We proudly administer and maintain USABat as a service to our National Member Organizations and the many youth athletes who play in ballparks around the country and the world.

The 2020 USABat lineup introduces a number of new technologies including some of the lightest USABats ever designed, as well as 26” bats approved for use with hard balls. Along with the new and innovative designs contained in this year’s lineup, we have also added several newly approved USABat manufacturers, and you will learn more about them and their products in the pages that follow.

As our sport and the world around us pushes forward, we cannot forget the history that brought us here nor the great integrity that has defined our pastime for ages. USA Baseball remains dedicated to baseball’s past, present and future and thanks the many devoted individuals and organizations that support our great game and stand with us as we safeguard its future.

Our story began when three individuals from very different professional backgrounds were brought together by their shared passion for diamond sports and desire to produce a better bat.​ This passion goes back many years, but it was in 1996 that we manufactured our first model in a private labeling venture for another bat company. In 1999, we designed and produced our first multi-wall bat featuring our patented Power-Arch Technology. Today, Anderson brings the same passion and technology to it’s USABat line and it shows.
