International Residency
The Richmond MBA is the top-ranked MBA program for working professionals in RVA, offering the equivalent of a fulltime MBA at half the price of comparable full-time programs. Students develop valuable skills each evening that they can immediately apply at work — a concept we call, “Learn it tonight, apply it tomorrow.” With classes two evenings a week, the program takes two years to complete.
At the program’s midpoint, International Residency gives students a broadened perspective into the professional realm overseas. Past cohorts have traveled to destinations like Cuba and Italy to work on consultancy projects with organizations abroad. These on-the-ground experiences challenge students to apply all they’ve learned to solve complex problems facing real-world businesses.
Opening Residency The Richmond MBA begins with Opening Residency, a two-weekend orientation that introduces you to program faculty and peers as you work to solve a strategic challenge facing a local company. Past partnerships have included Hamilton Beach, CarLotz, and Ledbury.

Capstone Project
Advancing Your Career
This final piece of the program ties together all you’ve learned. You’ll work with program administration to select an organization relevant to your business interests. You’ll then address a strategic challenge facing the firm and present customized recommendations and solutions to your client.
