The Panhellenic Experience Our Purpopse The purpose of this non-profit organization shall be to promote cooperation among sororities, to formulate rules and procedures for recruitment and new member education, to regulate inter-sorority activities, and to insure cooperation between sororities and other student organizations and the University administration.
What is Panhel?
Where does Panhel
The Panhellenic Association, or Panhel, is the comprehensive name of the entire women’s sorority system. Every woman who is a member of one of the ten sororities on campus is a member of the Panhellenic Association. The Panhellenic Council is the governing body of the women’s sorority system at the University of Rhode Island.
Come From? The National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) is the governing body of the Panhellenic Council. All policies instituted by the Panhellenic Council have been developed in accordance with NPC policies and recommendations.

What to Wear Virtual recruitment can make choosing recruitment outfits a bit confusing. We created a small look book of outfit inspiration for each day of recruitment! We want you to always be comfortable in your own skin and with your personal style throughout the recruitment process! Remember, these outfits are only ideas, it is not required to purchase additional clothing pieces.

Chapter Dues Breakdown In order to be a member of a chapter, all sisters must pay dues each semester to contribute to the organization. Below is a breakdown of each chapter's dues and some other expenses you may come across as a new member and sister.

Active Member Dues: Dues that apply to active members who have been initiated into th e sisterhood.
Payment Plan: We know that expenses can be a dealbreaker on whether you are joining a sisterhood or not, but we are here to reassure you that each chapter has their own method of payment plans in place to assist their members in paying their dues!
New Member Dues: Dues and additional fees paid in the semester a new member joins. This often includes fees to the national organization, a membership pin, and more. The additional fees are a one time fee.
