Mission Statement
The objective of the Industrial Technologyprogram is to produce a graduate with skills and knowledge needed for technical management positions in industry. Courses in IndustrialTechnology supplement the student’s associate degree by additional coursework in subjects not previously studied and/or more advanced courses. IndustrialTechnology(IND) is a 2+2 program that provides the second two years of education leading to a Bachelor of Science Degree in IndustrialTechnology (BSIT). Prior to entering the program, students must have completed an Associate of Science,Associate ofApplied Science or Associate of Technical Studies degree in an Engineering Technology field from a regionally accredited university, college, community college, or technical college. Industrial Technologyis a comprehensive major requiring at least thirty- three (33) credit hours of 30000/40000 level coursework, a minimum of twenty-four (24) hours of IndustrialTechnology technical electives, and a minimum of 124 credit hours total.
BSITgraduateshavefound employmentinindustriesas ManufacturingEngineers,QualityEngineering Technicians, ProductionEngineering Technicians,andEngineering Managers.
The student will be preparing to take the Certified ManufacturingTechnologist Examination given by the Society of ManufacturingEngineers.
