Well the 2012 Elections are over and President Barack Obama is STILL the President of the United States of America. I don’t know about you but I am glad that it is over and the people have spoken. This election proved what I already knew and that is that we as a country are much more diverse than most of the country really thought that we were.

PRESIDEN Thank you so much.

Tonight, more than 200 years after a former colony won the right to determine its own destiny, the task of perfecting our union moves forward.

It moves forward because of you. It moves forward because you reaffirmed the spirit that has triumphed over war and depression, the spirit that has lifted this country from the depths of despair to the great heights of hope, the belief that while each of us will pursue our own individual dreams, we are an American family and we rise or fall together as one nation and as one people. Tonight, in this election, you, the American people, reminded us that while our road has been hard, while our journey has been long, we have picked ourselves up, we have fought our way back, and we know in our hearts that for the United States of America the best is yet to come. I want to thank every American who participated in this election, whether you voted for the very first time or waited in line for a very long time. By the way, we have to fix that. Whether you pounded the pavement or picked up the phone, whether you held an Obama sign or a Romney sign, you made your voice heard and you made a difference. I just spoke with Gov. Romney and I congratulated him and Paul Ryan on a hard-fought campaign. We may have battled fiercely, but it’s only because we love this country deeply and we care so strongly about its future. From George to Lenore to their son Mitt, the Romney family has chosen to give back to America through public service and that is the legacy that we honor and applaud tonight. In the weeks ahead, I also look forward to sitting down with Gov. Romney to talk about where we can work together to move this country forward. I want to thank my friend and partner of the last four years, America’s happy warrior, the best vice president anybody could ever hope for, Joe Byden.

And I wouldn’t be the man I am today without the woman who agreed to marry me 20 years ago. Let me say this publicly: Michelle, I have never loved you more. I have never been prouder to watch the rest of America fall in love with you, too, as our nation’s first lady. Sasha and Malia, before our very eyes you’re growing up to become two strong, smart beautiful young women, just like your mom. And I’m so proud of you guys. But I will say that for now one dog’s probably enough. To the best campaign team and volunteers in the history of politics. The best. The best ever. Some of you were new this time around, and some of you have been at my side since the very beginning. But all of you are family. No matter what you do or where you go from here, you will carry the memory of the history we made together and you will have the lifelong appreciation of a grateful president. Thank you for believing all the way, through every hill, through every valley. You lifted me up the whole way and I will always be grateful for everything that you’ve done and all the incredible work that you put in. I know that political campaigns can sometimes seem small, even silly. And that provides plenty of fodder for the cynics that tell us that politics is nothing more than a contest of egos or the domain of special interests. But if you ever get the chance to talk to folks who turned out at our rallies and crowded along a rope line in a high school gym, or saw folks working late in a campaign office in some tiny county far away from home, you’ll discover something else. You’ll hear the determination in the voice of a young field organizer who’s working his way through college and wants to make sure every child has that same opportunity. You’ll hear the pride in the voice of a volunteer who’s going door to door because her brother was finally hired when the local auto plant added another shift. You’ll hear the deep patriotism

in the voice of a military spouse who’s working the phones late at night to make sure that no one who fights for this country ever has to fight for a job or a roof over their head when they come

NTOBAMA home. That’s why we do this. That’s what politics can be. That’s why elections matter. It’s not small, it’s big. It’s important. Democracy in a nation of 300

million can be noisy and messy and complicated. We have our own opinions. Each of us has deeply held beliefs. And when we go through tough times, when we make big decisions as a country, it necessarily stirs passions, stirs up controversy. That won’t change after tonight, and it shouldn’t. These arguments we have are a mark of our liberty. We can never forget that as we speak people in distant nations are risking their lives right now just for a chance to argue about the issues that matter, the chance to cast their ballots like we did today. But despite all our differences, most of us share certain hopes for America’s future. We want our kids to grow up in a country where they have access to the best schools and the best teachers. A country that lives up to its legacy as the global leader in technology and discovery and innovation, with all the good jobs and new businesses that follow. We want our children to live in an America that

isn’t burdened by debt, that isn’t weakened by inequality, that isn’t threatened by the destructive power of a warming planet. We want to pass on a country that’s safe and respected and admired around the world, a nation that is defended by the strongest military on earth and the best troops this — this world has ever known. But also a country that moves with confidence beyond this time of war, to shape a peace that is built on the promise of freedom and dignity for every human being. We believe in a generous America, in a compassionate America, in a tolerant America, open to the dreams of an immigrant’s daughter who studies in our schools and pledges to our flag. To the young boy on the south side of Chicago who sees a life beyond the nearest street corner. To the furniture worker’s child in North Carolina who wants to become a doctor or a scientist, an engineer or an entrepreneur, a diplomat or even a president — that’s the future we hope for. That’s the vision we share. That’s where we need to go — forward. That’s where we need to go. Now, we will disagree, sometimes fiercely, about how to get there. As it has for more than two centuries, progress will come in fits and starts. It’s not always a straight line. It’s not always a smooth path. By itself, the recognition that we have common hopes and dreams won’t end all the gridlock or solve all our problems or substitute for the painstaking work of building consensus and making the difficult compromises needed to move this country forward. But that common bond is where we must begin. Our economy is recovering. A decade of war is ending. A long campaign is now over. And whether I earned your vote or not, I have listened to you, I have learned from you, and you’ve made me a better president. And with your stories and your struggles, I return to the White House more determined and more inspired than ever about the work there is to do and the future that lies ahead. Tonight you voted for action, not politics as usual. You elected us to focus on your jobs, not ours. And in the coming weeks and months, I am looking forward to reaching out and working with leaders of both parties to meet the challenges we can only solve together. Reducing our deficit. Reforming our tax code. Fixing our immigration system. Freeing ourselves from foreign oil. We’ve got more work to do. But that doesn’t mean your work is done. The

role of citizen in our democracy does not end with your vote. America’s never been about what can be done for us. It’s about what can be done by us together through the hard and frustrating, but necessary work of self-government. That’s the principle we were founded on. This country has more wealth than any nation, but that’s not what makes us rich. We have the most powerful military in history, but that’s not what makes us strong. Our university, our culture are all the envy of the world, but that’s not what keeps the world coming to our shores. What makes America exceptional are the bonds that hold together the most diverse nation on earth. The belief that our destiny is shared; that this country only works when we accept certain obligations to one another and to future generations. The freedom which so many Americans have fought for and died for come with responsibilities as well as rights. And among those are love and charity and duty and patriotism. That’s what makes America great. I am hopeful tonight because I’ve seen the spirit at work in America. I’ve seen it in the family business whose owners would rather cut their own pay than lay off their neighbors, and in the workers who would rather cut back their hours than see a friend lose a job. I’ve seen it in the soldiers who reenlist after losing a limb and in those SEALs who charged up the stairs into darkness and danger because they knew there was a buddy behind them watching their back. I’ve seen it on the shores of New Jersey and New York, where leaders from every party and level of government have swept aside their differences to help a community rebuild from the wreckage of a terrible storm. And I saw just the other day, in Mentor, Ohio, where a father told the story of his 8-year-old daughter, whose long battle with leukemia nearly cost their family everything had it not been for health care reform passing just a few months before the insurance company was about to stop paying for her care. I had an opportunity to not just talk to the father, but meet this incredible daughter of his. And when he spoke to the crowd listening to that father’s story, every parent in that room had tears in their eyes, because we knew that little girl could be our own. And I know that every American wants her future to be just as bright. That’s who we are. That’s the country I’m so proud to lead as your president. And tonight, despite all the hardship we’ve been through, –Continued on page 9

Jay Z and the Boss visit Columbus by Jim Kuhnhenn, Associated Press The Boss was spending the entire day with Obama, traveling on Air Force One from Madison, Wis., to Columbus, Ohio, and then to Des Moines, Iowa, where Obama planned a coda for his campaign, a finale where his run for the presidency began five years ago. Jay-Z boomed his way into Columbus’s Nationwide Arena, performing a rendition of his hit “99 Problems” with a political twist for a crowd estimated by fire officials at more than 15,000 people. He changed a key R-rated word to make his own political endorsement. “I got 99 problems but Mitt ain’t one,” he sang. “They tell the story of what our country is,” Obama said of the two performers, “but also of what it should be and what it can be.” Springsteen added a whole new sense of vigor, even giddiness, to the Obama entourage, with many of the president’s aides and advisers clearly star-struck by the rocker’s presence. Springsteen, in jeans, black boots, a work shirt, vest and leather jacket, was not wearing the typical Air Force One attire. But the Obama camp has left formality aside; many aides are

growing beards through Election Day and ties have been left behind in favor of sweaters for the chilly outdoor events during the last hours of the campaign. Asked if there was any downside to using celebrity glitz instead of substance to drive voters to the polls in the final days, Obama spokeswoman Jen Psaki laughed. “I think Bruce Springsteen might be offended by you calling him glitzy,” she said. “Bruce Springsteen, and some other celebrities who have been helping us, reach a broad audience that sometimes tune out what’s being said by politicians,” she said. President Barack Obama is joined on stage by singer Bruce Springsteen during a campaign event near the State Capitol Building in Madison, Wis., Monday, November 5, 2012. President Barack Obama is joined on stage by singer Bruce Springsteen during a campaign event near the State Capitol Building in Madison, Wis., Monday, November 5, 2012. As Psaki spoke to reporters at the back of the plane, Obama was up front and on the phone with New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie discussing the recovery from Superstorm Sandy. Christie, who says he has attended more than 100 Springsteen

concerts, said Obama then handed the phone to Springsteen, a New Jersey native whose songs often have been tributes to his youth in the state. Upon landing in Columbus, Springsteen told a reporter that it was his first trip on Air Force One. Grinning, he said, “It was pretty cool.” As for New Jersey, he said, “I’m feeling pretty hopeful” that the state’s hard-hit shore will recover. In Madison and Columbus, Springsteen serenaded audiences with renditions of top anthems “No Surrender,” “Promised Land,” and “Land of Hope and Dreams.” But he also has a custom-made campaign song named after the Obama motto “Forward” — which he acknowledged was “not the best I’ve ever written.” “How many things rhyme with Obama?” he asked. Obama, no doubt, didn’t mind. “I’m going to be fine with Bruce Springsteen on the last day that I’ll ever campaign,” he said above the dim of the crowd. “That’s not a bad way to bring it home. With The Boss. With The Boss.”

National News

PRESIDENT OBAMA –Continued from page 7 despite all the frustrations of Washington, I’ve never been more hopeful about our future. I have never been more hopeful about America. And I ask you to sustain that hope. I’m not talking about blind optimism, the kind of hope that just ignores the enormity of the tasks ahead or the roadblocks that stand in our path. I’m not talking about the wishful idealism that allows us to just sit on the sidelines or shirk from a fight. I have always believed that hope is that stubborn thing inside us that insists, despite all the evidence to the contrary, that something better awaits us so long as we have the courage to

keep reaching, to keep working, to keep fighting. America, I believe we can build on the progress we’ve made and continue to fight for new jobs and new opportunity and new security for the middle class. I believe we can keep the promise of our founders, the idea that if you’re willing to work hard, it doesn’t matter who you are or where you come from or what you look like or where you love. It doesn’t matter whether you’re black or white or Hispanic or Asian or Native American or young or old or rich or poor, able, disabled, gay or straight, you can make it here in America if you’re willing to try. I believe we can seize this future together

because we are not as divided as our politics suggests. We’re not as cynical as the pundits believe. We are greater than the sum of our individual ambitions, and we remain more than a collection of red states and blue states. We are and forever will be the United States of America. And together with your help and God’s grace we will continue our journey forward and remind the world just why it is that we live in the greatest nation on Earth. Thank you, America. God bless you. God bless these United States.

The Journey

Sisters in Faith Bible:

A New Journey Through The Good Book For African-American Women

Nashville, TN -- Thomas Nelson, a world leading Christian publisher, is preparing to release a new Bible that will provide African-American women with an important and inspiring new tool to help bring their Sunday morning experience into their everyday lives. The Sisters in Faith Holy Bible: Encouraging and Empowering AfricanAmerican Women with God’s Truth is expected to address the concerns of today’s Christian women who are seeking God’s wisdom and guidance in every area of their busy and complex lives. The Bible will be available January 1, 2013 in stores and online. This beautifully designed Bible will have a unique African-American perspective, thanks to executive editors Michele Clark Jenkins and Stephanie Perry Moore. Michele and Stephanie are the co-founders of Sisters in Faith, an entity established to create meaningful products that encourage and empower African-American women with God’s truth, and address the needs and concerns of life that are particularly challenging to the women in this culture. “African-American women have a different history and a different presence from any other demographic,” said Jenkins. “Their history is characterized by strength in the face of instability; making a-way out of no-way and self-definition in the face of a lost identity. A substantial number of African-American women are working mothers

and oftentimes single mothers. Most are looking to cut a new path. The Sisters in Faith Bible is designed to speak directly to the specific needs of this group of women.” “African-American women have long suffered and long loved the Lord in such a way that being Christian and being an African-American woman is synonymous,” adds Moore. “But very few Christian products reveal the African-American woman’s voice to the body of Christ and almost none have been created to speak directly to her in a way that relates to her life and her struggle. This will be a journey to awaken a new and dynamic spirit for these women.” Jenkins is the Senior Director of the Public Policy Consulting Group for Griffin & Strong, P.C. and also specializes in entertainment contracts and business development. She is the author of numerous faith-based books and co-editor of several Bible projects. Moore has also served as co-editor for several Bible projects and is the author of over fifty young adult, inspirational fiction books and four adult titles. Together, they have gathered twelve women -- who live in different areas of the country, and are experiencing different ages and stages of their lives, relationships and careers -- to contribute to this project. Joann Rosario Condrey, a recording artist, worship leader and ordained evangelist; Helen Delaney, co-pastor at Liberty Church in Marietta, Georgia; Vanessa Davis Griggs, a motivational speaker and author of more than thirteen novels; Keren Heath, a writer, entrepreneur and worship leader; Tiffani-MiShelle Johnson, a poet, actor, screenwriter and director; Jennifer Keitt, author, host of Today’s Black Woman radio show, and founder of Zakar magazine and the Jennifer Keitt Life Institute for Women; Jamell Meeks, Director of Women’s Ministries for the Salem Baptist Church of Chicago; Brenda Noel, an award-winning freelance publishing professional and partner in ECHO Creative Media; Dawn Sherill, M. Div., co-founder and partner in ECHO Creative Media ; Kim Cash Tate, an author, attorney and co-founder of the nonprofit ministry, Colored in Christ; Karen Waddles, Assistant to the Publisher of Moody Publishers, the publishing arm of Moody Bible Institute; and Lakeba Hibbler Williams, a licensed counselor, speaker, trainer, and educator. The Sisters in Faith Bible is a sister-to-sister guide through the Word of God that demonstrates

how the Word is active and practical for every part of life, including a sister’s interaction with God, herself, her family members, her career and co-workers and others. Featured sections will include: The Heart - an enriching overview of each book of the Bible, which describes its content and theme, and includes personal insight from one of the contributors, telling how each book specifically spoke to her heart. Arise! - devotionals that have been developed by women to share their understanding of God’s Word in ways that directly address women’s issues and concerns. These fifty devotionals address topics such as church, prayer life, parents, marriage, divorce, children, accountability, forgiveness, jealousy, friendship, trust, leadership, stress management, money, organization, work ethic and many more. Quest and Discovery - questions and answers that address some of life’s most difficult situations head-on and the truth in the Scripture that makes rising above the challenges of life seem attainable. She Speaks - inviting, first-person accounts that allow the reader to look at life through the eyes of the women in the Bible, as they relate to the joys, sorrows, victories, and defeats of these sisters from long ago. Notes to Self - fifty snippets of wisdom that include Biblical insight, the supporting Scripture, and a personal resolution to challenge and encourage the reader. A Place of Honor - lessons of faith gained through the lives of ten Biblical women of African descent. Lyrical Expressions - five poems that address real-life dilemmas and the resulting drama. Each poem will lead the reader to the realization that the only true help for these situations is through God. Empowered Faith - motivational articles to help readers find the trust and confidence we are called to place in God and the people He has given us to enhance our lives, and also to help readers understand that through the Word of God, we are empowered to live fruitful, abundant lives, fully engaged in the pursuit of healthy relationships with God and others.

online, including oneon-one and small group classes. “Those students who finished school [from the center in Ohio] with us at the end of the last school year, 75 percent of them returned at the beginning of the school year to continue their education,” said Jennifer Parker from Bridgescape, in a televised interview with WSB TV 2. “You can’t get a decent job in this town so you have to get a high school diploma,” said 19-yearold student Chris Wallace in the same report. “It shows me that someone like him [Magic Johnson]

cares about people like us.” Johnson, who is well known for his philanthropic work, has over the years talked about the value of getting a good education. This program is part of the Provost Academy Georgia, a statewide virtual charter high school. Magic Johnson Bridgescape centers are already operating in Ohio, Missouri, New Jersey, North Carolina and Pennsylvania. More Georgia locations are planned in Augusta, Macon and Savannah.

How To Not Grow Old Broke By Devin Robinson

Nationwide -- Growing old is not something we can avoid, but growing old and broke is! I speak about the Consumption Theory in my latest book, Power M.O.V.E.: How to Transition from Employee to Employer. So many people have been enlightened by its practical approach and simplistic delivery but, honestly creating success really is kind of simple. The only tough part about my theory is your ability to execute on it. The successful execution of the Consumption Theory boils down to your perspective and approach to money. It’s like the fork in the road. If you view money as a satisfier of today’s itch instead of a weapon against future threats you will struggle with being able to carry out the practices of the Consumption Theory and convert income into wealth. Resources are not all meant to be consumed immediately or sometimes, consumed by you at all. As an entrepreneur you must recognize when resources within your grasp should be used, consumed, stockpiled or used to reproduce more resources. Let me sidebar for a second. When it comes to your income, before you splurge on anything it should qualify for one of four factors: you enjoy the source of the income (satisfying), it’s abundant (significant), it’s sustainable (reproducing), and has longevity (long-term). The Consumption Theory allows you to live in an economic straight line no matter what is going on around you. Follow it and you won’t feel like you are on a financial roller coaster. You won’t

be up and down in what you can or can’t do and you won’t find yourself going from side hustle to side hustle. No slow economy or market threats will easily impact your consumption. They will first affect the activities within the other detailed percentages outlined in the book, often leaving your personal lifestyle with no immediate affects. Consumption Theory simply says that you should aim to live on 10% of your income if you expect to weather financial storms that WILL come: family emergencies, trauma, unemployment, unexpected repairs, slow economy, retirement, accidents, illnesses, etc. Let me go through some examples of how you can incorporate the “Consumption Theory” into your life. Popular Culture Example: Salary = $100,000 Time = 20 years Savings Rate = 10% Consumption/Spending Rate = 90% Retirement = $200,000 on hand Lifestyle Sustainability upon Retirement = 2.2 years Consumption Theory Example: Salary = $100,000 Time = 20 years Savings Rate = 90% Consumption/Spending Rate = 10% Retirement = $1.8 million Lifestyle Sustainability upon Retirement = 90 years All examples excluding inflation, increased tax burdens, health challenges and transfer payments. Okay. Living to $10,000 (10% of example) in America in this day and age may prove difficult, not impossible just difficult. In this case you want to focus on increasing your earnings, not your

spending. For those of you who can’t set aside any portion of your income for an extended time I’ve coined your spending a “disease”; an addictive disease that may haunt you in your senior years, and sometimes immediately, unless you cure it or find a frugal spouse to offset your issue. If the full consumption theory is too extreme for you, consider this modest example I calculated at 50% consumption. If you merely have a salary of $100,000 and you saved 50% of your income for 20 years you will have stocked $1 million. You will be able to live another 20 years on your nest egg at the same lifestyle, give or take inflation and health. Pretty much, for every year you simply stockpiled 50% of your income equates to one year you won’t have to work while maintaining the same lifestyle. The overall philosophy of the Consumption Theory is to not consume based on what you have, but instead consume based on what you want to have. This theory expedites the success rate of an entrepreneur. Just be careful not to attach yourself to people in your young days that will make you miserable and regretful in your old days. Use having additional resources as an opportunity to have more, not as an opportunity to spend more and you will spend more time in bliss. Remember, arrogant people may get rich but humble people get wealthy. Columbus Black Nurses Association: Ensuring Access to Free Preventive Care and Educating Consumers on Insurance Company Abuses Columbus, Ohio - To provide an opportunity for nurses and community leaders to share concepts and ideas on roles of nurse practitioners in Ohio areas known to be critical in high-risk populated communities, CBNA is hosting a Red Carpet Gala Fundraising event entitled, “Nurse Practitioners: Meeting Community Health Care Needs” on November 3, 2012 at the Holiday Inn North, in Worthington, Ohio to raise awareness about how the new health care law addresses the critical need to provide underserved citizens access to free preventive care and alert consumers on insurance company abuses. “Imagine a Future” Initiative Hosts “Girl Talk: Strength in Sisterhood” Workshops at UNCF Empower Me Tour - Procter & Gamble’s My Black is Beautiful Continues to Touch the Lives of 1MM Young Black Girls with Sponsorship of United Negro College Fund 2013 Empower Me Tour CINCINNATI-My Black is Beautiful (MBIB) announces the sponsorship of the 2013 United Negro College Fund (UNCF) Empower Me Tour (EMT), kicking off on October 6, as part of MBIB’s “Imagine a Future” initiative to touch the lives of one million black girls. MBIB will host “Girl Talk: Strength in Sisterhood” workshops at eight of the tour stops to spur insightful discussions that will empower and educate the participants (8th grade – college freshman) to be their true best self by uplifting other young girls. In conjunction with UNCF, MBIB will also be awarding monetary scholarships to students amounting to a sum of $17,000. “When we launched the ‘Imagine a Future’ initiative this summer, one of our goals was to provide resources to foster a greater sense of self and confidence within the next generation of young black girls,” said Verna ColemanHagler, Procter & Gamble, Brand Manager. “Our partnership with UNCF and the sponsorship of the Empower Me Tour, allows us to speak with these

young girls about the challenges and realities of their lives, and provides solutions that will inspire them to connect with others. We want these girls to express their best and most beautiful selves and to build an even stronger community – for their future!” The “Girl Talk: Strength in Sisterhood” workshops will be led by a panel of African-American media influencers. These women will engage the participants in a provocative discussion focusing on the epidemic of girl-on-girl bullying and black beauty insecurities, as well as examine images of black women in the media throughout time. With the use of personal stories, thought-provoking questions and vivid imagery, the panel will stress the importance of building strong sisterly bonds and empower participants to bring these lessons to their communities. MBIB will be traveling with UNCF to a total of eight cities which include: Washington D.C., Minneapolis, Detroit, Hampton, Miami, Dallas, Chicago and Los Angeles. At each of the tour stops, MBIB will select a local not-for profit/charity organization focused on empowering the lives of young girls and invite their young members to attend the discussions. Each of these carefully selected organizations will

receive a MBIB sponsored UNCF scholarship in the amount of 1,000 dollars for one of their members. Book award scholarships will also be awarded to workshop participants and the extended online community via www.facebook.com/mbib. “The Empower Me Tour was created to empower young people to take an active role in their future and we are so thrilled to have a partner like My Black is Beautiful,” said Dr. Michael Lomax, executive director, United Negro College Foundation. “We care about the future of our students and want to make sure they are prepared with not just academic tools, but with personal development resources as well. Coming together with My Black is Beautiful to create the ‘Girl Talk: Strength in Sisterhood’ workshop is a perfect addition to the Empower Me Tour.” The MBIB campaign launched six years ago with the goal of fueling a national conversation about African-American beauty while encouraging women to become catalysts for change in their local communities. The campaign has proved successful in building an engaging online and offline community of black women that celebrate everything that makes them truly beautiful.

2013 Lexus GS-350 F-Sport…Simply Irresistible! The Lexus brand has long been the standard of luxury. The all-new, redesigned and tricked out GS350 had jaws dropping at every turn during my review week. The engineers must have been given the proverbial “green light” to think outside the box with reconfiguring of the sporty sedan. Walking up to the GS350 F-Sport, the first thing that catches the eye was the trapezoid front chrome grill. Slickly embedded, the grill let’s onlookers know that power is just behind that devilish grin. Cloaked in the armor of a warrior, from tip to stern the F-Sport package gives the sedan a futuristic look. Razor sharp lines frame the front fascia unleashing a wicked façade. The lower grille inserts add the perfect accent to this sexy beast. The subtle slope of the hood, side profile and the rear fascia the GS350 frame the new sedan like a dream. The cat-like Bi-Xenon Headlamps and LED Daytime Running Lamps and Dynamic Auto Leveling illuminate your every move as it surveys the upcoming terrain. Heading down roads after dark, the GS350 seemed to scan my surroundings offering a safe driving experience. Managed by a 4-Wheel Power-Assisted Discs, with 4-Channel Anti-Lock Braking System, braking was rather smooth. Revving just under the hood is a 3.5 Liter V6 engine with Direct Injection and Port Fuel Injection that puts out 306 horsepower and 277 lbs-ft of torque. Like a stallion awaiting its first gallop, the power of the F-Sport package of the GS350 is ridiculous. The mid-sized sedan packs a punch on the road. Take offs and merging on to the white-knuckle rendering 405 bring about a head snap and a Cheshire cat grin…and I loved ever minute of it! Dipping and dodging on the 19-inch Split Five-Spoke Alloy wheels with the Dark Graphite finish was effortless with the Variable Gear-Ratio Steering and Sport S + Drive Mode. Quick downgrades allowed for a seamless ride via the 6-Speed Sequential Electronically Controlled Transmission and F-Sport-tuned Adaptive Variable Suspension. The technology and style of the new GS350 really swings for the fences. One of the most noticeable upgrades is the larger-than-life 12.3 inch High Resolution split screen multi-media display. Vibrant icons and Apps Suite navigated via the ergonomic mouse create a geek’s technological Shangri-La. The Lexus standard Mark Levinson Premium Sound System is packed with 17-speaker, 835-watts with a 7.1 Channel Architecture, Digital Amplifier and GreenEdge Speaker Technology, producing crystal clear sand concert ound quality. The Lexus Enform feature w/Destination and eDestination return and

round out the Navigation Package with NavWeather, NavTraffic, Sports and Stocks. The interior of the GS-350 was like sitting in the lap of luxury. The driver’s seat will cradle you with the Power Side Bolsters and “16-way” choices of comfort and cooled me with the ventilated option. MSRP $57,322 and for more info on the Lexus GS-350 Sport visit www.lexus.com
