Empowering Veterans: Think Veterans First Celebrates 3rd Annual Expo This vision was an establishment of a veteran network named VETNET. This network serves as a hub for veteran support, mentorship, and the exchange of best practices.The forthcoming 3rd annual VET OHIO EXPO, scheduled for Thursday, September 7th, from 2 pm to 6 pm at the Franklin Park Adventure Center (755 E. Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio), stands as a testament to their commitment.

Founded by Regina Rembert, a retired U.S. Army member and the visionary behind Buy-Vet, now Think Veterans First, this event brings the community together to celebrate and support veteranowned businesses. Attendees will have the chance to interact with these businesses that business landscape. So, mark your calendars for the VET OHIO EXPO and be part of this vibrant celebration of veterans and their entrepreneurial spirit!

During a time when segregation was still prevalent after the Civil War, HBCUs played a vital role in advancing African American higher education. With each step taken, we're not just moving forward, we're moving towards a brighter, healthier future for all. As publisher of Urban Trendsetters, I am so proud to have been one of the founding committee members of the African American Male Wellness Walk and the inaugural media sponsor of this iconic event.

For two decades, The African American Male Wellness Agency (The AA Male Wellness Agency) has ignited a movement that transcends boundaries and transforms lives.

The Wellness Walk isn't just a walk—it's a vibrant tapestry of empowerment, hope, and change. With the resounding support of the Central Ohio community, we've witnessed the evolution of this event from its early days to becoming a nationally recognized initiative spanning across 16 cities.

Initiatives that Make a Difference: At the heart of this celebration is a powerful message: that every step counts, every effort matters, and every life is worth fighting for. The AAMale Wellness Agency has tirelessly championed the cause of bridging the alarming health gap that affects Black men, empowering them to take control of their health and wellbeing. Through free health screenings encompassing critical parameters like blood pressure, glucose, cholesterol, HIV, STD/STI, and prostate cancer, they've delivered awareness that saves lives.

Black Men's Health Week: This week-long campaign,

held leading up to the Wellness Walk, has become a beacon of early detection and prevention. By offering vital health screenings, the initiative has been instrumental in identifying health concerns at their nascent stages, ultimately saving lives and instilling hope.

HIV Awareness: Addressing the pressing need for safe practices and preventative measures in the African American community, the Wellness Walk dedicates a portion of its efforts to HIV awareness. By fostering education and awareness, the initiative empowers individuals to take charge of their sexual health and wellbeing.

Uplift Her: The agency's commitment extends beyond gender boundaries. Through the "Uplift Her" initiative, the focus is on extending the life expectancy of women of color. With educational resources, group workouts, and accessibility to women's health exams, this initiative embodies holistic wellness and empowerment.
