Urban Prep Celebrates the Class of 2023 at Commencement

Credit: Michael Kardas Urban Prep's 14th Annual Commencement Exercise for the Class of 2023 was held on Saturday, June 17th at the Greenwood Oasis. The event was attended by families, friends, faculty, and staff to celebrate graduation. Valedictorians Messrs. Devin Bufford from the Englewood Campus, Robert Howard from the Downtown Campus, and Seven Brimmer from the Bronzeville Campus gave moving speeches about their 4 years at Urban Prep and a charge to their fellow brothers. The event included special video presentations from Urban Prep Alumni, Political Leaders, and Celebrities. As a yearly ritual, there was a beautiful tribute to the Class of 2023 in which their baby pictures morphed into the Urban Prep crest. Awards presented included: Academic Excellence, the Credimus Medal, the Alfred B. Lee Scholarship, the Dr. Mary Patillo Scholarship and the Founder's Medal. The event was well attended and the graduates concluded the event by standing tall and proud to recite the Urban Prep Creed.
