Students Of The Month
Mr. Hollins received his gold tie in Spanish 2 during the month of March. His nominator wrote “I want to recognize this young man's exceptionality as he is usually helping the class. He actively participates, sits at the front of the class, and sings the creed proudly every morning. He is always very accountable, mature and responsible. I appreciate his support in my class, as well as his support for our community in events such as the Black History Month celebration...Estudiante Del Mes, Mr. Alvin Hollins.”

Urban Prep Teacher of The Month
Mr. Woodard received his gold tie in World Literature. His nominator wrote, “This young man has shown practice SAT assessment growth from the first benchmark in November to the second benchmark in February. "We are exceptional not because we say it but because we work hard at it. " This student who is also a representative of several clubs and sports continues to demonstrate resilience through the challenges he faces in and out of school, maintaining employment, and working to maintain a perfect attendance rating throughout the 3rd quarter. This young man is proving that he will be exceptional not because he can say it, but because he is working hard at it.
Mr. Smith received his gold tie in Africana Studies during the month of March. His nominator wrote, “Mr. Smith is a bright young man with a glowing future ahead. As he continues to apply himself in class, his true scholarly nature comes to light. Keep going!”
