TRANSFER ADMISSIONS The University of Rochester welcomes transfer students from all backgrounds. With our highly f lexible curriculum, numerous undergraduate research opportunities, and a diverse student body, our transfer students are able to thrive both inside and outside the classroom.
DUAL ADMISSIONS PROGRAMS –MCC 2+2 AND FLCC 2+2 The University of Rochester has dual admissions programs with Monroe Community College and Finger Lakes Community College. Students admitted to these programs receive an associate’s degree from their community college and guaranteed admission to Rochester with junior standing.
APPLYING The University of Rochester considers transfer applications on a rolling basis. The recommended priority deadline is March 15 and October 15 for fall and spring admission respectively. Learn more at admissions.rochester.edu/applying/how-to-apply.
TRANSFER CREDIT POLICY The University of Rochester accepts a maximum of 64 credits from two-year schools. A minimum of 128 credits is required for degree completion. Rochester grants elective credit for comparable coursework in which a grade of C or better was earned, although department policies vary. Dual enrollment courses taught in a high school will not transfer. Departmental approval is required for major or minor course equivalencies.
