Sliding doors have all kinds of excellent functions that you can use in your home. People often associate them with outside exit doors (typically to backyards or located behind the home), that does not mean you can't use them within your home as well. Sliding doors have a lot of different styles that give you plenty to choose from when you need something that slides to the side instead of swinging out like.
When it comes to inside your home, the sliding design can be much more efficient than a traditional door because they take up less space and are more useful in certain areas where a traditional door simply would not be plausible. This can include doorways in smaller hallways and closet doors. You may also hear of these doors as being called "bipass doors" or "pocket doors" because of their ability to be in these locations.
Typically sliding doors open through the use of tracks. These tracks are often located at the top of the frame, thus allowing the door to hang. There are a lot of styles you can choose from with sliding doors - something that people may miss out on because they don't realize that sliding doors can look just as stunning as a traditional door. Just because it slides doesn't mean it can't look amazing!
