THIRD TERM MATHS PROJECT

CLASS: ELEMENTARY 4
TITLE: CONSTRUCTION OF CYLINDER CLOSED AT BOTH ENDS
MATERIALS NEEDED:
Cardboard
Scissors
Pencil
Ruler
Pair of compass
Top gum
PROCEDURE:
Step 1: Fold a cardboard in form of a pole (curved), 30cm high.
Step 2: Cut out two circles from the cardboard with the diameter 11 cm. Use the circles to close the cylinder at both ends.
APPLICATION:
Use the diameter of the circles to either calculate the circular base or the circular top of the cylinder.
Step 3: Submit your project in school.
NOTE: Child will be assessed regarding the project.
