While we are sure that everyone attending the Leavers’ Ball will treat our staff with respect, we ask that all the staff are treated courteously. Any rudeness or behaviour towards staff, which causes them to feel uncomfortable or threatened, is unacceptable, and those responsible may be asked to leave.
In line with the principles of Martyn’s Law, which promotes enhanced safety and preparedness at public venues, a multi-detection K9 unit will be present at the event. This is a standard safeguarding measure, increasingly used at events involving young people to help maintain a safe and respectful environment. The detection dog is trained to work discreetly and calmly. Its presence is not in response to any specific concern but forms part of our broader duty of care and commitment to pupil welfare and safety.
For the Leavers’ Ball to be the joyous occasion for all guests that we are planning, anyone arriving at the event who is deemed to be under the influence of alcohol or illegal substances will not be granted admittance to the event.
Our aim is for everyone who is attending the Leavers’ Ball to have an enjoyable experience. We thank you, in advance, for following these guidelines which will help us all make the Leavers’ Ball a special and memorable occasion for this year’s Upper Sixth.
