Dear Residents,
As residents of the Upper Ross you would be aware there are major roadworks occurring on Beck Road for the new On and Off ramps to improve connectivity to the Townsville Ring Road which is also being duplicated in the final stage. You would know by now that there have been some concerns around commuting along Riverway Drive due to these construction works. I understand that TMR are closely monitoring traffic and signal phases along Riverway Drive. The traffic signals were manually controlled to flush through traffic and reduce the travel time for motorists. This did reduce the travel time from over 19 minutes to around nine. I strongly encourage you to plan your journey to allow additional travel time especially during the peak hours. Beck Drive is due to reopen on 1st May (pending weather and construction conditions).
