How to Get Here
Most visitors drive from Anchorage along the Seward Highway. It takes an hour to get to the Peninsula and less than two hours to reach our communities. But take your time!

The highway is actually a National Scenic Byway and an All-American Road. Along the way you’ll be treated to spectacular wilderness vistas.
Watch for Dall sheep, mountain goats and humanoids (rock climbers) along the cliffs. You may also catch glimpses of kite surfers, paddle boarders, and beluga whales in Turnagain Arm. As you turn south, coastal vistas give way to forested mountainscapes.
Throughout your journey, we encourage you to take advantage of the multiple pull-outs for safe viewing. Many feature interpretive signs and spotting scopes. Enjoy!
