SEEK & EXPERIENCE

COMMUNITY Hi friends, A long time ago, two people were taking a 7-mile walk along a pathway, trying to make sense of all Jesus had said and done. A stranger met with them and walked with them along the pathway, explaining everything as they walked. That evening as they ate together, the two of them realized who the stranger was -- Jesus, resurrected! "Then their eyes were opened and they recognized him, and he disappeared from their sight. They asked each other, “Were not our hearts burning within us while he talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?” (Read the whole account in Luke 24:13-35) Our lives are like that walk along the pathway with Jesus. Four times a year, we hope this Pathways catalog inspiresPAGE you to6-8 walk with Jesus and even challenges you to learn something new!

This fall, we kick off a new leg of our journey, allowing the Holy Spirit to form us to be more and more like Jesus. Imagine all that God can show you

by June!

As you leaf through these pages, ask God to guide your steps, take a deep breath, and say "yes" to walking with Jesus this year!

FAMILY MINISTRIES SUNDAYS Family Worship | Nursery Care Family worship is important to us and we welcome all ages in the Sanctuary. Our Family Worship Room, just inside the front doors, has a live monitor, a view of the Sanctuary and a bit more space for littles to move around. Nursery and Early Childhood Care is available in the Nursery during both services.

UPPC Kids | Sunday School Children in PreK-Kindergarten check in before services downstairs in the Lodge and end their time in Room 127 off the Youth Cafe. Children in grades 1-4 start in the sanctuary with their parents and are released to go to Sunday School in the Lodge before the sermon. We use the Zippee Kids curriculum which nurtures curiosity and helps build a faith that makes room for questions.

Solid Ground Students in Foundation (grades 5-7) and The Rock (grades 8-9) will also start in the Sanctuary and then gather together in the Youth Room during each service.

They will experience a service designed for teens where they can grow in their faith, form lasting friendships, and explore what it means to live out their beliefs in today’s world.

High School Worship High School Students attend the 11:00 am service together. Look for us up front in the Sanctuary!

Justice and Peacemaking in the Age of Outrage We live in an age of outrage. Our politics divide us, our social media feeds reward anger and our culture often tells us that the path to change comes through winning, shaming and defeating the other side. Even the church can be shaped by the same forces.

But Jesus offers us another way.

This fall, The Jesus Way explores what it means to follow Christ into the beautiful and difficult work of justice and peacemaking. Jesus does not call us to ignore injustice or retreat from the brokenness of the world. He calls us to become people who pursue what is right without becoming consumed by resentment, who speak truth without contempt and who work for reconciliation without pretending our differences and wounds don’t matter.
