UPEI ATHLETICS AND RECREATION

Eleven Panther varsity teams play in the regional Atlantic University Sport (AUS) and national U SPORTS competitions. Panther club teams compete against other regional universities and colleges throughout their respective seasons. Our varsity student-athletes are consistently recognized for their academic and community achievements—113 Panthers were named U SPORTS Academic All-Canadians in 2021–2022!

I chose to study nursing at UPEI because I love the small-town historical feel of the campus.

The opportunities I’ve had as a student have been phenomenal. UPEI’s Faculty of Nursing has established many partnerships within the community, and I’ve practiced my nursing skills in hospital units, the school system, and with partners such as Special Olympics PEI. My program offers more diverse opportunities that might not be possible in a larger setting.

Looking back on the last four years, I have had so much support from my peers. UPEI’s nursing program is different than a typical degree program because students take their courses together as a class. I’ve become part of a large family with my classmates, and I will cherish the long-lasting friendships and memories I’ve created for the rest of my life.
