About This Exercise Blue Print Encounter 1 and 2 (July 10 to 11 and Aug 15-16) Objectives: i. To complete environmental and academic scans on the future of Guyana and the future of UG education and training in that context. ii. To design the University of Guyana of the foreseeable future.
Encounter 1: What Are We Facing? HOW will we change?
Blueprints outline the organization's future goals and documents the specific steps that are needed to accomplish these goals. Blueprints may be thought of as the “grand designs/plans� realized through shorter term initiatives such as strategic, implementation and operational plans which are expected to produce the short to medium term targets.

As THE national University and therefore a key national player in shaping Guyana’s identity and realities;

The University of Guyana of The Future… Some Questions to Bear in mind: Who will our students be ? How will we grow student pop? Which Disciplines? Any “disciplines?” Locations? Which Problems will be expecting to solve? Where will we live? What and how will we teach? Who will teach and who will be taught?
What systems services policies, structures and infrastructure will we need to service those needs? How much will it cost? How will it be financed? When should we start? Who moves the process forward?
