While the Society continues to grow, I would like to thank everyone whojoined during the past year! Yoursubstantial contributions have hada tremendous impact on College ofScience students and faculty.
In fact, your generosity has helpedto increase scholarship awards forstudents, grow funding for outreachprograms and special lectures, andcreate support for faculty teaching andresearch efforts.
In the coming weeks, you willreceive your 2019 Crimson LaureateSociety membership packet. Iencourage you to renew your annualmembership for the coming year.There are currently 748 Societymembers. Our goal is to surpass1,000 members this year. If you arecurrently a member, I extend mygratitude and appreciation! For those
who have not yet joined, I encourageyou to get involved and help supportthis worthy endeavor.
Our Crimson Laureate Societyevents bring together a diversecommunity of people who arepassionate about advancing scientificresearch and education at theUniversity of Utah. We are in theprocess of planning another exclusiveCLS event for 2019.
Your support allows us to sharescientific knowledge with a largeraudience. For example, on Tuesday,November 13, the College will presenta Frontiers of Science lecture featuringNobel Laureate Dr. Mario Capecchi.The event is free and open to thepublic. As part of the event, we willunveil a special display containing theinstruments that Dr. Capecchi used inhis Nobel Prize-winning research.We hope you can join us!
