LEADERSHIP Dr. Karla Goldman Director, Jewish Communal Leadership Program kargold@umich.edu Dr. Karia Goldman is the Sol Drachler Professor of Social Work and Jewish Studies at the University of Michigan. Her work focuses on the history of American Jewish communities and identities.

She is the author of Beyond the Synagogue Gallery: Finding a Place for Women in American Judaism (Harvard University Press). She serves on the national board of Keshet and as co-chair of the Jewish Women's Archive board of directors.

Submit an application for the MSW program at www.ssw.umich.edu/admissions/msw. Be sure to complete the Jewish Communal Leadership Program application forms which are contained within the MSW application.

GENEROUS FUNDING IS AVAILABLE FOR ALL ADMITTED STUDENTS. Priority application deadline: December 1.

Additional SSW application deadlines: February 1 and March 1.

JCLP applications are considered on a rolling basis until the incoming class is filled.

JCLP alumni are building a better future for people of all ages and backgrounds-in Michigan, across the country, and around the world. Clusters of graduates are located in Chicago, New York City, Denver, the San Francisco Bay Area, and Israel.

Our graduates work in Jewish federations, synagogues, and Jewish and non-Jewish social welfare agencies and non-profits.

Their range of work touches issues related to education; LGBT equality; youth, girls' and women's empowerment; elder care; food security; cultural innovation; public health; Israel advocacy; and Jewish communal change.

Michigan residents receive a minimum of $23,500 and non-Michigan residents a minimum of $47,000 in tuition support. Most students also receive additional merit and need-based aid.
