Memories in Bloom

Memories in Bloom hopes to challenge the stigma of living with dementia often portrayed in the media, by reflecting on a person’s memories, unique stories and staying active both mentally and physically.
The photographs members of the Bright Memories Project continue with life, attending activities, such as weekly walks and art sessions. The individuals within the images include people living with dementia, their carers and volunteers.
The photographs aim to show the strong sense of community within the Bright Memories Project, picking up colours and details from their activities and creating my own memories from this time.
A special thanks to all the indiviuals involved in the creation of this photobook, especially Age UK Cheshire who allowed myself to document their Bright Memories project.
