Thank you for joining us. Today’s activities are designed to help you find out everything you need to know about your course and student life here at Chester.

Subject Sessions

12:00 (Exton Park), 13:45 (Queen’s Park, Wheeler, Kingsway and Gateway House)

Visit your subject area and find out more about your subject of interest. Subject sessions will last approximately one hour, but if you have applied for a combined course we will ensure you have time to visit both subject areas.

Please see your Subject Sessions handout for details on when and where your session(s) are taking place.

Campus Tours

Running from 12:15 – 17:00

Student-led tours of our Exton Park site. These tours will be running regularly, and will include an example of University accommodation (subject to availability). Tours last approximately one hour. The final tour will depart at 16:00. Departing from Seaborne Library (Exton Park map ref. 7 ).

Travel to Queen’s Park, Kingsway and Wheeler*

13:15 (You will be taken to the bus stop straight from your Campus Tour)

*If your subject is based at our Queen’s Park, Wheeler or Kingsway sites, your subject session will take place after your campus tour. Transport via shuttle bus is available if required.

If you are studying a combined course that runs at both Exton Park and Wheeler, please speak to a member of staff who will outline your day.

If you have time today, we’d encourage you to head into the city centre and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of Chester Pride. Please be aware that it may be busier than usual, so allow a little extra time if you’re heading that way.

Food and Drink

Chester’s streets are lined with cuisines from around the globe, mixing wellknown favourites in with independent eateries. There are hidden foodie gems down side streets and in the new Chester Market on Northgate Street (see map on back page).

Historic Sights

Chester is steeped in history, and you’ll find historical treasures throughout the city – the impressive Cathedral, the iconic Eastgate Clock, the black and white Rows and the Roman Gardens. Walking the Roman walls is a great way to explore and get some incredible views over the city.

Shopping

High Street favourites, designer boutiques, independent gems – Chester has everything you need when it comes to shopping. As well as the Grosvenor Shopping Centre, a stroll through some of Chester’s hidden streets uncovers a host of unexpected independent shops, music venues and galleries.
