This course provides an independent, 12-month design and research process. In LAND 7311, students start their design proposition by establishing their own design research agenda within the framework of a group studio project. Students select a topic or problem pertinent to current practise that is used to create the project's framework for design-based research. Each student closely collaborates in the studio to develop and test their design ideas.

Overall Description for Population

Median Age Older Couples Without Children

High median age means that population aging is very obvious in chosen site.

Age Structure

➤ Dominant age group: 65 and over (22.5%)

➤ Vehicle roads disturb the walking experience.

➤ Most of walk trails towards RWC are not designated, which causes lack of legibility.

➤ This is an extremely flat area, as most of area is with slope degree lower than 1. The maximum degree is not higher than 4.This provides strong potential to build age-friendly community.

Reduce The Impact Of Extreme Climate
