s we move through the dog days of summer, it seems only fitting that this month’s programming should offer something tied to the animal world. ALL CREATURES GREAT AND SMALL: BETWEEN THE PAGES will take you behind the scenes of the MASTERPIECE sensation, sharing some production secrets and interviews with cast and creators, whetting your appetite for the Season 2 premier this winter. Anticipation is growing for the upcoming Milwaukee PBS and Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra (MSO) live broadcast from the new Bradley Symphony Center on Saturday, October 3. We’re incredibly proud to partner with the MSO to showcase their state-of-the-art new facility. We’re also hard at work on A SYMPHONIC CELEBRATION: THE MSO’S NEW HOME, a pre-show “red carpet” special with stories about renovating and revitalizing the former Warner Grand Theater, the world-class MSO musicians and the triumph of emerging after the pandemic. Be sure to keep an eye out for even more related stories on social media and across all of our local shows! The front and back cover images this month highlight two programs I know you’ll enjoy. WICKED IN CONCERT brings the beloved hit Broadway show right into your living room, featuring performances from original cast members Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth, along with some of your other favorite voices from the stage. And PBS-favorite Lucy Worsley is back with another season of ROYAL MYTHS AND SECRETS, taking you behind closed doors to explore some of history’s most engaging and surprising royal stories.
