Tigers dominate Cheerdance tilt by Joshua Steven Calvo
The College of Engineering (COE), once again proved that they are the Home of the Champions, as they successfully defended their crown and clawed their way to victory, in the Cheerdance Competition earlier at the University Week 2019 Opening Program at the university amphitheater. Tigers also bagged the Most Disciplined,
and Most Participative awards. “Actually, half of my team were part of my old team while half of them are new, so I set proper expectations and mindsets accordingly. I put it in my mind that defending the crown is a very difficult thing to do, so I prepared them the best I can and hoped for the best, “ Ronald Alonzo, trainer of the Tigers, said. College of Education followed after COE, bagging 1st
Runner Up while the College of Arts and Sciences placed 2nd Runner Up. The Senior High School Department, represented by selected Grade 12 students and the SHS faculty, also participated in the said competition with a Jaguar-themed performance. The Cheerdance Competition was the highlight of the Opening Ceremony of U-Week 2019.
ACademic Exhibits The departments of the university showcased their outputs and distinctive presentations in this year’s Academic Exhibit at the UNO-R Accounting office. The Senior High School Department shared their activities highlighting the 7C’s, Creativity, Collaboration, Critical thinking, Crosscutural, Communication, Communication, Computer literacy and Career Learning.
