we just never got the opportunity to get it. This was it, water housing on, he was half in and half out of the water and had found a couple of cypress trees to frame the image he wanted. Not one to ruin Jon’s big ideas I agreed to try and Foil on a threefoot shaft in only a foot and a half worth of water, which was pretty difficult and sketchy. I managed to keep my cool and rode the foil through 100 feet of shallow water to pass Jon in the right place. Jon and I have worked together for a few years now and I’ve learned when you hear screaming and shouting and look back to see Jon jumping around we’ve gotten the shot. That was it, we had captured everything. The trip went too quick but I can guarantee we’ll be back out to Orlando soon enough. // STEP ONE // Approach the kicker switch heel side, take a mellow edge all the way to the kicker and flatten out right before hitting it. Keep the handle close to your body all the way through the trick.
// STEP TWO // When you hit the kicker pull the handle towards your trailing hip and then pop of the sweet spot. Make sure to pop before you start spinning.
// STEP THREE // Once you’re in the air and going for the handle pass, keep the handle as close as possible to your hip and look towards your leading shoulder to spot the landing. If you’re having troubles with the handle pass try pulling even harder while on the kicker.

// STEP FOUR // After spotting the landing it’s all about keeping on axis and bringing that back hip forward. Also try to pass the handle over to your leading hand and land with the handle pointing “thumbs down”, meaning your thumb is pointing down. Land with bent knees to embrace the impact.

and got to the finals by LCQ. Then l didn’t ride very well in the first run and in the second run I did everything I wanted but just barely. When I finished the run all my friends were running to congratulate me! It was an indescribable feeling to see the scoreboard and your position is in the forefront!!!
What other sports/exercises do you do to stay in shape & strong for wakeboarding? Nothing so special, I’m working out in the gym. What is your go-to wakeboarding outfit? My favorite ARRIS 138 wakeboard and TEAM boots by Liquid, jeans shorts or Billabong wetsuit, “happy hour comp” vest by LF and LF helmet!
What trick are you really stoked to learn? I’m pumped to become the first female in the world who has landed a Heart Attack. Furthermore, 313BS and 90210 as I was working on them a lot!
What are your feelings regarding people who ride without a helmet or a life jacket? I have a vital attitude about security measures. For example, I will never understand those who do not fasten their seat belt in the cars. If it can help us to avoid more serious consequences - why wouldn’t we use it. The same for wakeboarding equipment! To be honest, I tried to ride without a helmet and vest to make photos and videos more exciting, but I was sure about the tricks I’m doing! Nowadays, we have stunner vests and helmets by a lot of companies. People, please, use it!
Best habit? I love to dance everywhere even a wakeboard. Worst habit/vice? Strongly worried about failing. How would your friends describe you? I just asked my friends and they said that I am: open-minded, soul of company, sincere, kind, honest.
You can pick one song to play on your iPod while you wakeboard...what is it? ICE CUBE - Check ya self.
Are you in school? If so what are you studying? Do you have a job? I finished Saint-Petersburg State University, Philosophy Faculty last year. Also I’m working as a coach and I have remote work on one IT project.
If money & time weren’t an issue and you had six months to travel, all bills paid, where would you go & why? Could be more than one place. I always single out places I never been to. I like to explore, so I would like to go to South Africa, Argentina, Mexica, west coast of USA and my dream since I was eight years old - Australia!
What irritates you the most when you’re at the cablepark? Big lines, waves and bad weather. Do you have any wakeboarding plans for the remainder of 2017? I have many plans: FISE (Montpelier, France) Saint - Petersburg Championship Fort Constantine Cup (Kingwinch wake park) Plastic Playground (London, UK) The best contest ever FIRE, WATER and PIPES in Kingwinch wake park (WE ARE WAITING EVERYBODY, YOU WILL LOVE IT FOR SURE) Russian Nationals Europeans WWA Worlds And other contests…
Favorite male rider & why? Yonel Cohen - he is a good guy and so stylish and creative. Favorite female rider & why? Courtney Angus - I was inspired by her riding! Most memorable wakeboarding moment? Since I started wake boarding almost every moment has been remarkable! But the most memorable, I think, was when I got the invitation to Plastic Playground 2016 as a Pro Female rider - I was shocked! And also my first and only Russian Nationals when I won 3rd place! I had a fall in qualifications in two runs

The main idea of the film is that cable wake boarding had become too monotonous for us. We wanted to open a new level of riding that didn’t have the same traction all the time, or the same stable speed. We decided to make a step up to the future and prove that wakeboarding has no limits, that you can ride anywhere you want, and you don’t need a boat or a park to do that, only your fantasy. Our team put off going on a trip around Russia in search of interesting riding spots. We will observe, try and even explore what street wake boarding is. Vinch? Every trick depends on a person who controls the winch. It’s important to team up with someone who rides with you everyday and has experience. Someone who knows when to give slack or when to speed up is key to a successful winching session.When street riding you’re not on slippery plastic but instead shredding cement, grass or even metal. Street wake will cause fear, pain and takes of hundreds of tries! For pipes vinch is something new for the whole team, some of us had an experience with it, some had not. We decided to move gradually. First of all we had to get used to traction, and don’t think whether your board slides or not, so we had to build a whole park made of iron pipes at River Medveditsa This spot suddenly appeared to be the most difficult one. The trip to the nearest village took us not two hours as the navigator said but an entire five hours. We were lucky to have our tents with us and we decided to stay a night there. We met fishermen in the morning and they said that many people died in the whirpools. We were cautious with a safety ring and a rope. You could feel the force of the stream with your board. Yaropolets and now it’s time for the best spot ever! In Yaropolets the vertical drop is seven meters and imagine that a person could drop from that high on a flat. Roma ripped out his binding on the first run. Roma broke his bindings at first try. We thought it was impossible to ride there.
