Beef Pit

The Block and Bridle Club took 13 students to the Nebraska Cattlemen’s Beef Pit at the 2017 Nebraska State Fair in Grand Island. Members helped call orders, plate the sides, pour drinks, bus tables, and clean up at the end of the evening. This event allows members to reconnect after a busy summer away from campus; network with the Nebraska Cattlemen, and members of the public who come and dine at the Beef Pit. We even had a chance to briefly chat with Doug Brand, our 2016-2017 club Honoree. All in all, members had a great time making witty agriculture jokes while serving meals and we look forwards to continuing this relationship with the Nebraska Cattlemen.
