A grant of 25.000 HUF (equivalent of about 62 €) will be given to all eligible student participants in cash during coffee breaks on first day of the Summer School (Monday, 07th July 2025).

06th July – Sunday – Welcome Dinner in Equus Club (Building D at UVMB Campus) from 19:30 to 21:00
10th July – Thursday – Gala Dinner - Budapest River Cruise & Dinner on the Danube (4course meal will be provided on the cruise) – Boarding from the Dock at 19:45, cruise departure at 20:30, arrival back to the Dock at 22:30 – University transfer will be provided which leaves from the nearest Trolley bus stop to main campus at 19:00.
Farm Visit – 9th July – Wednesday
9:00 Departure to the dairy farm of approximately 2000 animals – HunLand Trans Ltd. – Bugyi Felsővány (transportation is organized by UVMB)
10:00 - 13:00 - Welfare Quality assessment, practice
13:00 – 14:00 Lunch break - Cold lunch packages will be provided
14:00 – 16:30 Presentation on animal transportation with special regard to animal welfare aspects of long-distance transport
16:30 – 17:30 Departure back to UVMB Campus
The farm will provide rubber boots and T-shirts for the paricipants. Working clothes will be provided by UVMB, students can collect them before departure to the farm.

Public Transport:
Public Transport in Budapest covers the city well by buses, trams, trolleybuses, metro and suburban railway trains. You can also travel by public bike-sharing service MOL Bubi, taxi or special transport services like the Funicular, Chairlift, or boat.
Night transport services are available in the night hours, they are different from the daytime operation. Trams run throughout the night on the Grand Boulevard, and beyond that night buses are on service. Their numbers always start with 9, and their network covers the entire capital.
Tickets and passes can be purchased in cash or by bankcard from ticket vending machines (TVM) found at Budapest’s busy transport hubs and stops.
You can also purchase your tickets and passes via Budapest Go App
As Students will be provided by a temporary Hungarian student ID, the best option is to buy a monthly Pest County Pass for students (Hungarian student ID is required)

Taxi:
Taxis are painted bright yellow. It is compulsory for them to use a taximeter that also gives a receipt. The price is calculated according to the distance travelled but also includes a fixed booking fee and a waiting fee (if appropriate). You can pay with a credit card and by cash.
You can find them in front of all major hotels, train and bus stations, but it’s better to call them via App. Reliable taxi companies are Főtaxi and Bolt taxi
