Letter from Incoming Director

Dear USN community,

It is with great joy that I accept the role of University School of Nashville’s next Director. The school’s long-standing work to be a national educational leader that reflects the breadth of Nashville while serving a public purpose and honoring a firm commitment to diversity and belonging has never been more important than it is today. Having learned even more about the history of USN and its deep Demonstration School roots, I understand that the wisdom and courage of the past helped to build a foundation that has supported the school and its academic excellence through other transitions. I am confident that this rich history and the practice of shared communication will help us as we look to our future.

The search process provided a clear understanding of the importance of involving the entire PDS/USN community as we think about what comes next. I am eager to begin our work together to better understand the school and consider its strengths & emerging opportunities.

My family and I are thrilled to join the USN community. Over the coming months, I look forward to visiting classrooms & offices, meeting students, families, faculty & staff, and continuing to learn about USN & its place in the Edgehill community & greater Nashville.
