The STEP placement scheme was a really great program that helped me get my foot in the door of a very competitive industry. I now work permanently at Luke 1977 as a Junior Graphic Designer. I have a lot of responsibility within the company and the experience I have gained over the last 6 months has been invaluable. Working in Fashion was something I never originally planned upon when getting into Graphic Design but thanks to the STEP placement program I have gained a job I love within an industry I am excited to explore.

I couldn’t tell you how much I’ve learned from only being with the company for six months – it seems a lot in such a short space of time. The main focus of my role was to get to grips with a Content Management System, which we incorporate into all of our websites for optimum accessibility, and client usability.

I used my design skills alongside this to create a perfect user experience.
